Better? AP vs PIN Discount

Which discounts are usually better----AP or PIN (room only)? I got a PIN code in mail today but we just bought APs. I've been waiting for the AP codes to come out to book 1 night at a value before we start our time at Old Key West Villas. Thanks in advance.
