best/worst condo or home rental

How about a thread about condo and home rentals? There are lots of threads on this subject. How about putting all the info into one? Who's the best/worst management company you rented from? Where are the best condos and houses located? Is it better to rent directly from the owner? Any comments out there? :thewave:

I just returned from a week’s vacation at Windsor Palms. We rented a four-bedroom pool home and could not have been more pleased. Windsor Palms is a beautiful community that features homes and condos w/ 24-hr gated access. At the clubhouse there are pool tables, a ping-pong table, kids play ground, tennis, basketball court and the large community pool. The community pool is your average pool w/ no slides. We didn’t have much need for it because we only used the pool and hot tub at the house. The house we stayed in was very nice and very well equipped. We went directly through the owner and had no problems whatsoever. The community seemed very quiet and very well maintained. My family will definitely be staying here again.
