Pretty much agree with what others have been saying...Toy Story Mania, Animal Crossing, Wii Sports Resort. I think the new Super Mario Brothers game looks like a lot of fun too!
My son had some Christmas money from Grandma & decided to buy the new Mario Brothers game last night. It is soooo much fun!! We only have 2 controllers so I can't even imagine playing with 4! It was a lot of "get back here! Help me!", "pop me out of this bubble!", & "what are doing over there?!". We had a blast!
If you are a fan of Indiana Jones movies (which we are) then Lego Indiana Jones is THE BEST. We loved it and it entertained kids and adults alike for hours and hours and hours until we beat the game. Very, very, fun.
Thanks everyone for your replies!! Games are so expensive I don't want to waste our money on bad ones. I 'm so excited about getting a Wii it's almost like I got it for myself>

And Lego Indiana Jones 2 just came out. It goes back through the movies and shows different scenes than the first game, and also includes the most recent movie. Plus you can actually build your own levels, apparently.
The new Super Mario Bros is a definate must have for the family! My boyfriend and I are in our 20s and we have SO much fun playing this game!
I also agree the Wii Sports Resort is a lot of fun. Plus, watching two people swordfight is hilarious. My family gets so into it, it's a crack up everytime.
I've also heard a lot of good things about Rock Band. Don't know how much your looking to spend or how many games you want to get, but a lot of people have said this is a great family game and a lot of fun

I'm so glad to see your replies! We bought a Wii for Christmas and dh has been back and forth to Toys R Us trying to get the new Mario and Toy Story Mania (our TRU missed their shipment for the buy one get one half off sale).
We love, love, love the new Super Mario game!! We all play it, guests too. DS(9) got it for his birthday, and already decided to get it for his cousin for Christmas.
He also recommends Mario Kart, Game Party, and Wii Sports (which comes with the system).
He might need some help at times. You have to do certain things to advance in the levels, almost like puzzle solving, and even we two 25+ adults had to look up on the online guide we found how to do some things, lol.
Then again, a current 5 year old's video game IQ migth be so far superior to our original Nintendo-era brains that they might breeze right through!
Also, we tried the new Lego Indiana Jones 2 game and did not like it as much as the original - more confisuing the way it is setup.
My 6 year old son was the best of all of us at Lego Indiana Jones. It does help if you like (and know the sequence) of the movies, though. But equally fun for all ages.
