Found an awsome deal for 7 nights at this Hotel for $545. The reviews on tripadvisor seems to be ok, just wondering if anyone has stayed recently and can comment. How are the shuttles to Universal/Seaworld? We are a family of 3. What about getting to the premium outlets on ID? Will we be able to manage without a car?

Oh! I thought it was.... Our dates are from March 1 to 8 or March 2 to 9... Still working on flights. Any suggestions?

I would seriously want a car!

Also that is about the AAA rate, so if it were me, I'd wait. The place looks just okay for somewhere to sleep for a night or two, but not for a weeklong vacation.

I do see the appeal for a shuttle, but there are other hotels with shuttles to Universal.

How many people is this for?

We are a family of 3, 2 adults and one 13 yrs old. What are good suggestions for Hotels near Universal at a decent price range.

I found today through a discount program we have at work, The Point Orlando Resort for $606 for 7 nights. This seems like a sweet deal!

For $75 a night (roughly), you can do MUCH better than the Best Western in Orlando! You could bid on Priceline for any 3.5* or 4* in the Universal area and they would ALL be nicer and you could likely get a bid accepted between $45-60/night.

Pass on the BW though. With the exception of the one in Downtown Diseny, most of the ones in Orlando have seen PLENTY of wear and time has not been nice to them :)
