anyone have any views on this hotel, also does anyone know about their free transportation to disney and florida mall what times etc,any help will be very grateful :hourglass :cool1:

We stayed there in 1997 (1st trip).

We found it nice and clean. Rooms basic, but spacious and standard US format (2 x double beds, vanity area with sink and separate bathroom/toilet with shower over bath.
The room had a safe (key deposit was $1/day).
You could also book in-room movies and Nintendo.

The pool area was nice. While we were there they were building new pool side bar - I guess this is finished now!

The best thing about the hotel is it's location. The south end of IDrive close to some nice restaurants (Friendlies, Ponderosa, Tony Romas) and shops (Mercado and Pointe Orlando).

The hotel also has a number of suite rooms - may be worth asking at check in if one is available - should cost much more per night and you get a small kitchen area :)

We used the free transport to WDW. If I remember correctly there were 3 buses in the morning and then 3 buses back. Last bus left MK at 9pm (I think) and then pickud up at Epcot. The bus drops you off at the TTC carpark and picks up at the same spot. This car park is in the open with no cover or seating!
We found the buses going to WDW fine, but the return buses were usually packed and seemed to cover more than one hotel!

We got a taxi to the Florida Mall - I think it was around $15 each way. The hotel will call you a cab and to get back there are always cabs waiting outside the mall - or ask the first cab driver to give you his number and call him when you want to retun to the hotel :)

Never used the free transportation from any I-drive hotel. But that hotel is quite nice. It's a little further down I-drive than most iirc, which is nice 'cause its a 'nicer' part of I drive, a bit more green basically. Like Goofyish says, there are pleanty of nice restraunts quite close by. Hotel is quite nice, pretty standard to be honest.

We stayed at the BW Int. Drive in 1999. We found it was an ideal hotel to use as a base. As other people have said, it is located in a good part of I-drive. We much prefer that end of I-drive than the stretch of road from Sand-lake road down to Wet n' Wild.

From what I can remember the rooms were like most other American hotel rooms. We had a Kitchenette, which at the time cost around a tenner a night extra. The pool is situated in the centre of the hotel and the rooms are built around the pool area.

The hotel is within close proximity to plenty of restaurants. Our favourites were Charley's steakhouse and Bahama Breeze. There is also a Sizzler (buffet style) restaraunt located within walking distance.

If I was to stay there again, I would ask for a room as close to I-drive as possible. Some rooms overlook the I-4 and I am not sure what the traffic noise would be like over there.

Hi we stayed there 2003 i liked the hotel although it was basic it was clean and fresh sheets and towels everyday the shuttle bus was a bit of a disapointment but all in all we had a nice holiday :cool1:

We stayed here over Christmas/New Year 2004 and as stated previously, the hotel rooms are standard US style but were clean and had daily maid service. There are plenty restaurants nearby within walking distance.

We used the free shuttle transportation almost every day and had no problems at all - occassionally the bus was a little late (10 - 20 mins. or so) when picking up from the theme parks but left on time from the hotel in the mornings.

The bus timetable changes at different times throughout the year but we received a copy upon checking-in and they were always available both on the bus and in the hotel lobby.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mrshnn,
Please let me know how you find the hotel and their transport service.
Me, my twin and Hubby are staying at the BW Plaza in Aug (28th)
