If you have stayed at the Best Western Park Place, please give me a review. Thank you.:D

I have stayed at Best Western Park Place, and at other hotels on Harbor Blvd.
I do NOT recommend Best Western Park Place.
However, it does have some positive aspects.

The actual rooms are nice, although I would not call them suites.

The pool is enclosed between buildings, giving a very enclosed feeling.
The laundry room has way too few washers/dryers for the number of people staying in the hotel.

The free breakfast may be one of the better ones, of the hotels in the area.

My personal favorite, is Park Inn International.
The pool was on a roof toop sort of thing, where one did not feel so closed in.

If you want a view of any Disney Parks (maybe to see the fireworks) do not stay at Best Western Park Place. Although they advertise such a view, it really doesn't exist.
It is a narrow building, enclosed between two other high rises.

Park Inn International has a McDonalds next door, which is not a high rise. This gives a much better view of the fireworks from DisneyLand.

Another Harbor Blvd hotel, that I would not stay in again, is the Desert Inn.

I stayed there this past May and didn't have any problems with it. The rooms were nice and the location was great. We didn't use their pool, washing machines, or eat at their breakfast, so I can't comment on those.

I stayed there about 5 years ago. It worked fine for us.

I have also stayed at the HOJO's twice and the Park Inn once. I like those hotels slightly better. However the HOJO's is further away.

It seems like parking may have been a little crowded. But that was not a deal breaker. I would stay there again.

eileenfk-If you had to chose between Desert Inn and Best Western which would it be. My friend and I are debating between the 2. We come from the land of sun so the pool is not a biggie and neither is the view. I guess it's the rooms and convinience we're concerned about.

I just returned from Disneyland a few hours ago. We stayed at the Best Western Park Place for 4 nites (9/27 to 10/1). The rooms are clean and super convenient to the park. It IS the closest hotel...directly across the street.

We had a 'suite'..... 2 queen beds and a sofa bed with a 1/2 wall divider between the beds and the sofa bed.

The counters are made of granite. The bathroom floors are tiled.

Comes with refrigerator and microwave. We bought water from Target and freeze them. Great way to save on water. It costs $2.75/bottle at the park.

The continental breakfast is located next door at Captain Kidd's. You can choose between the continental breakfast or pancakes. The continental breakfast comes with: toast, danish, cereal, bananas, juice and coffee. If you choose pancakes...you will get 3 pieces... drinks are not included.

The first 3 days when we were there, Captain Kidd's were remodeling the breakfast room, so the breakfast was moved to a room by the pool.

There are 2 washers and 2 dryers in the laundry room.

The spa was not working while we were there but you can use the one located at Best Western Anaheim Inn which is located about 3 hotels down.

I booked the room directly from their website and got the mini suite was $69.00 a nite. I also called them but the rate was $99. Best to check their website.

Didn't have problem with parking while we were there. Always had space.

After 4 nites here, we moved to Best Western Raffles Inn a few blocks down.

We had a 2 rooms suite. One King for the parents room and 1 queen and 1 queen sofa for the kid's room.

Also granite counters...but comes with double sink. Got the room for $64.99/nite by calling them directly. It was $89 - 99 on their website.

There's a shuttle bus stop between Raffles and Travelodge next door.

I also purchased the Best Western Travel card from www.bestwestern.com. If you purchase before the end of the month, they will give you 10% extra.... so if you buy a $100 card, you will receive $110 value card.

I was able to save about $60 by buying the card and using it to pay for the rooms. YOu can print out the card, have them email it to you, or mail it to you.

I printed out the card and just show it to the front desk at checkout.
