Any reviews, or pictures? I'd especially love to see pictures of the pool area. Since this hotel is the cheapest I've found by far, I'm wondering if there is a reason for that? :confused3

The hotel is decent. We stayed there 3 years ago and had a mini-suite. There was enough room to also put a pack n play. The fridge is dorm room size and micro was small. The pool was very tiny and in the middle of the rooms. They only have one elevator and it is also used for all cleaning staff in the mornings. Breakfast was decent and above Captain Kidd's. The walk was the best part though.

For location and if it is the best price you can find, I would definitely do that again! If you can, request a room at the front of the hotel though. Parking is tight, but it is with all the hotels along Harbor we have found.

It is an outdoor pool. I believe the only indoor one is the one at Desert Inn and Suites two hotels down. Like I said though, it is on the small side...

I have spent more than 30 nights there over the past 8 or so years. I love the location. I dont usually find them to be the cheapest though.
Recently we have started staying a little further just to save money but if price were not an issue I would stay there in a heart beat for location alone.

The pool is nothing more than a regular rectangle pool with a hot tub near it. There is laundry right next to it and they do provide towels.

I'll keep in mind it's small, since we are going the beginning of December I'm not sure how much the pool should factor in.

have you looked at tripadvisor for pictures?

I haven't but I'll go now.

I think the hotel is decent...not wonderful, but I've always found it to be clean and the location can't be beat. Especially great if you have a stroller age kid...take along your own stroller because you walk across the road from the hotel into the shuttle drop off area and into the parks from there. It is WONDERFUL at the end of a long day to not have to turn in your stroller and carry a sleepy little one back to the hotel.

The pool is outdoors and pretty small...there's also a hot tub. You can request a room that actually looks out at the pool on level with it...with an opening window. Good if you have kids old enough to play there alone, but you still want to keep an eye on them.

I always request a ground floor room and they accomodate when there's availability. Stairs are just no fun after a day of walking.

Also...the free breakfast is, well, blah. Store bought muffins, some cereal, some fruit, juice, nasty coffee, etc. Nothing exciting...and not very yummy. BUT CAPTAIN KIDDS IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING! Be aware! Avoid the lure of free pancakes at all costs! Sure, the nasty pancakes are free but you will be charged for beverages (which are free upstairs, but you can't have it both ways), bacon, etc. AND THEIR FOOD IS SOOOOOOOOO GROSS!

So...all in all...decent room, great location, clean, friendly, and just say no to Captain Kidds....in fact run screaming from Captain Kidds!

We have stayed there several times over the years, and we find that BWPPI works out great for us. It is clean and close, so if you can get it at a good price then go for it. And while the pool is small, the area does seem to be kept up will enough. My kids are old enough that we don’t use the pool now, but we always managed to have some fun in the pool here during trips when they were younger.

As for the breakfast, while it is nothing to write home about, it does help get you started in the morning. My kids have never once complained about being able to have pastries or doughnuts as a part of their breakfast.

We stayed there for the first time last November & have booked again for this coming November. We had two connecting mini suites & we thought this hotel was perfectly fine for our families needs. 5 star it is not (but that is not our cup of tea anyway).
The greatest thing about this hotel is its location. It is just brilliant to be directly accross the road from the parks. The staff we found to be great. The rooms were very spacious (which is always one of our main priorities as we seem to travel with a million suitcases). It wasn't the fanciest in decor, but was clean, comfortable & everything was in working order.
We were towards the back end of the hotel (past the pool area) & we found this OK as there seemed to be less outside noise at this end.
We had the free breakfast most mornings & again we thought this was not too bad at all. We are pretty much happy with coffee, cereal & toast & it had all that & a few other things. There are plenty of other dining options around that hotel as well (IHOP, Denny's, McDonalds & others).
I can't wait to go back actually.

It is nice to hear first hand that the back of the building is not as noisy. I just stayed at BWPPI this weekend with my best friend. We were there to watch our dd's march in the parade. We had one of the middle rooms on the second floor on the "Tropicana wall" side and it was quite noisy at night and in the morning. I was a little worried what dh would think when he and I bring our kids there in 2.5 weeks. I called and requested a back room on the wall side (trying to stay away from the restaurant side with delivery trucks). I'm glad I had that experience ahead of time just so I could try to make things a bit better for our family trip. Otherwise, I was happy with the room. Very clean and comfortable and good sized. We didn't try the breakfast or pool. We walked past the pool and although it was small, it did look well kept. Staff was friendly enough. I thought they had lost our June reservation, turns out it was under my husbands name. Since I booked and used my cc I thought for sure it would be under my name. WDTC used info from our last trip when it *was under Dh's name, I guess.

Anyways, the best part was the short walk, and although we'll probably be walking to and from the back of the building adding extra minutes, it should be worth it if it's quieter.
