best western-old la quinta inn lakeside

Just wondered if anyone has stayed here recently.
Read all the reviews on trip advisor about damp musty smells etc,has it changed since best western took over?
would appreciate opinions

I stayed there about 3 months ago on a short visit and everything was fine. I believe it's the same management as they just changed the franchise name. I booked through HotelmartUSA and got a real low rate. I thought i would get a bad room because of the low rate but my room was real nice and clean.

We stayed one night in May 2005 and it was just fine. The front desk told us that all their buildings except for 1/2 building had been completely remodeled (I think they have 13 buildings). Everything in our room was clean and new-looking and there was a refrigerator and a good-sized safe (our laptop fit into it).
