Hey all,

How far is the Best Western Lake Buena Vista (the one ON WDW property) from DTD? Is it a walk away, or do you need to drive/ take a bus?
And how far is it to Crossroads shopping center? Is that a walk away, or do we need a car to get there?

The Best Western and Doubletree are the first hotels you come to when you enter the Disney Property (Hotel Plaza Drive). The Best Western sits on the right and the Doubletree on the left. Crossroads is right at that intersection so the walk is rather short and easy. In terms of DTD, those two hotels are thr furthest away. There is a sidewalk, but it is a bit of a hike. I'm not great with judging mileage, but I'd say that it is about a mile. However, the hotels have shuttle busses that go to DTD.

I am trying to plan our "stock up on drinks and snacks", and so I wondered if we would be able to do it without a car. It seems as if it is!

You absolutely can do it without a car.

We have stayed at the BW and walked to both DTD and the Crossroads Shopping center. It's more like .5 mile walk to DTD and only about 2-3 city blocks to the Crossroads. Prices are a little higher at the Goodings grocery store at the Crossroads, but still cheaper than buying them on the Disney grounds.

In that case, I have planned a walking afternoon on day of arrival, haha!
And all that walking will allow me to eat a huge dessert afterwards, right?
