Best Western Downtown Disney

Has anyone stayed at the Best Western DTD recently? What was your impression of it? Were the rooms clean, comfortable? I was planning on staying at the Marriott Courtyard DTD, but I've read so many mixed reviews I'm hesitant to risk it. The main complaints that concern me are the musty smell (my son has asthma), and the traffic noise. If we're going to be there 7 nights we don't want to be kept awake half the night listening to traffic and breathing musty air.

My family stayed there in June and had a wonderful time! I had read about the musty smell in some of the rooms, but there was a lot of refurbishment going on and I never smelled anything like that. We were on the 7th floor. I also never noticed any noise problems. Our stay was great! I got it on Hotwire.com for $29/night!! Make sure you do a lot of bargain shopping before you book!!

a couple of years ago. The rooms were a nice size-plenty for our family of 5-althought one family member was a baby in a pack and play. Bus service was ok. Crowded early in the mornings. I think we got the room for $49 a night and thought it was a bargain. We Not a long wald to DTD. Room were not musty and the maid service was great! Have fun

i stayed there sept. 13th - 20th on a 25 USD priceline rate...
had a room at the 16th (1606) floor to the I4 side, room was large, very good airconditioning ( extemly silent !! ) they seem to have a good noise protection .. just bearly noticeable traffic noise... but it is a busy area and you will notice a fire horn or little noise from time to time !!!
pool is not too large, but clean and well maintained..
check-in had no line at all. a new pizza hut express and their restaurant looked nice, but i did not make use of them...
plenty of towels and hand towels in the room and at the pool ...
ice machine and washer / dryer were on the same floor .. no fridge in the room, but is offered for 10 USD a day...
would stay there again for a price up to 45 USD !!!
