DH and I may try a vacation to DLR this summer [august]. Have any of you ever stayed at the Best Western Anaheim Inn [directly across the street from DLR]?

What were your thoughts on cleanliness.....customer service etc? DH and I are not looking for a 5 star experience [were just sleeping there after all] but we don't want anything with cockroaches either!:lmao

We just stayed at the BW Anaheim Inn last week. Be sure to request a room close to Harbor; I forgot and we were in the dead last room--added 2 minutes to our walk!
The room was nicely updated for a BW and no mold to be seen in the bathroom. Housekeepers made cute designs with the towels each day and were quite thorough with daily cleaning. We did find a dirty sock under the bed last day that was not ours though--ew.
The sink/vanity was separate from the toilet/shower. Good water pressure in the shower and the tub drained fine.
Coffee pots are single serve so ask for lots of pods when you check in so you don't run out.
Toiletries are shampoo, conditioner, and soap bar only.
No breakfast at all but they do keep a basket of red apples in the lobby if you're desperate for a snack.
The service is hit and miss--I know I was wowed the last time we stayed about a year ago, but this trip lobby staff were bored and uncaring. Pretty quick service with towel and coffee requests though and to us that's more important.
If you're interested in the pool it's right in the parking lot so you'll be there in your swimsuit while everyone (clothed) walks by--too weird for me so we skipped it.
HTH
