Best weekend to go in Summer?

Hi! I've gone to DL twice now, both times in September, so I've missed the Electrical Parade both times. So this summer I would like to go some weekend specifically to see the parade. I just won airline vouchers at work (woo hoo! ) so I need to book as soon as I can, because availability is very limited.

Travel has to be completed by 8/31, so I was wondering if there was a particular time this summer that anyone would recommend (or advise against), factoring in weather and crowds. I really can't go the first week or so in any month, because of work, but other than that I'm pretty open. It looks like they've released the schedules for the parades through July, but not after, so it might be safer to schedule it for June or July, since that's my whole reason for going.

Any ideas?

Hi Leigh:

I would avoid the weekends of June 16 and 23 because of the Nemo Sub ride opening and expected AP holder visitors on Sundays. Other than that I do no think it matters very much which weekend. Just so you know, the DEP plays every night in the summer and if you can manage a weekday trip you will be much better off as far as crowds. If you must do weekends then choose whichever one works best for you aside from June.
