Hey All!

We are planning our trip for September. Hubby and I were thinking later in the month would mean less attendance (shorter lines) and cooler temperatures. My BIL, however, really wants to go for the first week in September.

What do you guys think? I'd really appreciate any and all comments!

Thanks!!

I would try to wait until at least the Labor Day crowds go away.

Also, if you plan on doing ANY sit down restaurants, make your dining reservations well in advance as that is free dining month.

First wk in Sept. is Labor Day w/e. So the beginning of the wk might be crowded & at the end of the wk, they have Night of Joy going on, so Hollywood Studios (former MGM) will be closed for special event.

Second wk & on shouldn't be bad as far as crowds go. But not necessarily cooler, as it is FL & not the mid-west. You don't always notice the cooler down at that time of the year as fast as up North.:lmao:

You'll probably see a lot more families w/ preschoolers though.

I'm not sure about the best wek, but even the last week can be (and usually is) very hot and humid.

We were there over Columbus weekend last year and it was still brutal.

All of September can be hot and it can be stormy. I don't think that going at the end or the beginning will make a difference, weather-wise.

We found that earlier in the month was less crowded, right after Labor Day. Night of Joy moving to the Studios is a good thing, because it means the Magic Kingdom isn't closed early at all. That was the biggest issue with going that time of year for us - early park closings, fewer night parades, etc.

One reason early September is less crowded is that schools in the Northeast typically start the week of Labor Day. Parents don't want to take their kids out the first week, but will do so later in September or in October when many have Fall breaks.
