Best week in march or april

I want to plan a trip with my 3 and 5 year old. So school vacation has no bearing because I can take them out of school. The crowd calendar for march looks extremely crowded. April doesn't look that much better. Id like to take advantage of low crowds while my kids are young and i can take them out of school. But i need swimming weather because they love the pool the most. Go figure.Advice?

I'd say if school is not an issue go in September! The first couple weeks right after Labour Day seem to be the quietest and it's still quiet hot and humid for swimming!

March and April will always be busier with spring breaks and Easter depending on when it falls.

This year (2014) Easter was late (April 20), in 2015, Easter is a more traditionally earlier (April 5)

If I wanted to pick a lower crowd time in April, I'd go with the last week in April. Early May might be a little better.

I was there labor day and after...was too hot!! Lol my kids were comatose by 10 am. Gonna try to go back sometime in April. March looks like a nightmare. Wonder how the week after Easter break is?

I think the later your go in April, the slower it will get. Even right after Easter would still be busy as many schools tie their spring breaks to the holiday.

Our March break is usually the 2nd/3rd week of March, and things just get busy from there.

As for hot, we are from Canada, so the hotter the better

First off neither time is slow. Actually the only slow time now is some times in September. Definitely avoid the first two weeks of April due to Easter. I have found March very busy and weather can be unpredictable. I would look at the last couple of weeks in April. Keep in mind it still would not be slow by no means as school breaks are different everywhere, but it would be your best bet. We personally like the first two weeks of May. The crowds are moderate, but weather is great. Of course we also enjoy the last two weeks of October too, but the crowds can swell in October now esp around weekends, but the weather is nice too as long as hurricanes stay away.

You can see that Easter week (April 20) had several 8's for crowd levels

The following week (April 27) had several 4's

Why not the last week in Feb and the first of March, both are slower then later on, and warm enough for swimming.

Its not too bad the last week of April. Most of the spring break is over with and the crowds are manageable.
