What is the best all around DVC resort at WDW for couples without kids?

The resort should offer both romance and fun along with nice views from balconies.

That was a tough question, and I speak from experience. Before DS was born, DH and I went on many trips to WDW. There are pro's and con's to each resort for going w/out kids. I chose OKW in the end, just because it is quiet and somewhat romantic. It also has wonderful views, and I mean from just about every room. BWV boardwalk view would also be very nice and romantic. Plus there are tons of dining options in the whole boardwalk area. I really don't think you can go horribly wrong with any choice!

Old Key West for its style, laid back atmosphere, value and villa size is number one for us. Second is BCV, where we also own, for its location, SAB and overall theming of the BC/YC/BCV resorts. Third our list would be VWL again because of its location and exceptional theming. Don't own there (yet!)

There are none so far that we do not like. Have not been to HH. But if we force rank them --

1. OKW - top DVC resort for us (tied with Poly and AKL as top WDW resorts)

2. BCV / VWL - very different well executed resorts with exceptional theming but not condo style that we love at OKW

3. SSR - theme and location near DD

4. BWV - location

DH and I like to do the things that are available at VWL. We love eating at Artist Point and have you ever walked up the trail by the waterfalls at night. You see all the activity, but somehow you are apart from it, and it's very special

Sounds like the Boardwalk View at BWV to me. :thumbsup2

We are in love with the Epcot resort area. It's great for low-key trips, when you may want to wander over to Epcot or around to one of the other hotels for meals. And the boardwalk itself definitely has a romantic feel to us.

I voted BWV, but BCV is right there with it.

Some how posted twice. Once in a while I get a message that it can't post so I resubmitt and post shows up twice.. OH the troubles we must endure :teeth:

If your looking for night life you can't beat SSR, PI and WS are within walking distance even after a night out. Nice paths along the water for the walk back to your room. Most of the rooms have good views, Congress Park overlooks DDT/PI on oposite side of lake, at night this is really pretty.
If it's seclusion you want VWL is hands down the tops.
Grew up in AC New Jersey and usually go to OC MD or Mrtyle Beach SC every summer so I get my fill of boardwalks even though it's a great resort.
We now live in the Pocono Mts. in Pa. so VWL although really nice is not a big change in scenery.
Have not stayed at OKW yet but have heard a lot nice about it. Sister and BIL love it.
We stayed at Y+B Club before buying into DVC and I was not at all impressed (except for SAB), don't know how this reflects on the BCV but the hotel left me with no desire to go again. Although location can't be beat if you are a big Epcot fan which I am.
Hope this helps a little, best advice is probably to go down and check them all out for yourself before buying. Depending on how you plan your vacations buying where you want to stay can be very important, and a wrong decision can leave you very unhappy with the choices you get later on.

Depends on what you call a nice view. I like the view from OKW, birds and bunnies, golfers, rolling hills, ponds, streams. I would not like the BW view because to me it's just too noisy, too busy and the balcony is not that big.

It really depends on what you like... what you find romantic... what you consider "best views"...

So far, my vote is BWV... but SSR is up there too.
