Regards to all. We are going to WDW during 1st week of December and are looking to stay at the best DVC resort in terms of decorations.

Could anyone help us out by ranking them in regards to overall X-mas experience?

Thanks a bunch,

JJ

Definitely VWL, but if you are planning for THIS December, I suspect that week is already sold out.

:o( Thanks for the tip. I made a thread search and got many perspectives and agrred that WL is teh best. I'm looking to rent points so we'll see how it goes. Thanks a bunch

We always go resort hopping on our first day to check out all the decorations. Each resort is worth seeing. We like to do a monorail loop to check out CR, Poly, and GF. You also want to check out the decor at the Epcot resorts and at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have worked w/wedding and party decor for years, but nothing compares w/ what Disney does for Xmas. When I first walked into the GF, I actually teared up because I was so overwhelmed. The pastry chefs at each resort also do a gingerbread display in their lobbies that are unbelievable. Don't miss the giant gingerbread Victorian at GF. Also, the Dolphin had the largest tree I've ever seen in their lobby last year. Not to be missed w/ a train on a track that circled it. It is really worth seeing what they each have, but I'd agree that the Wilderness Lodge is the most Xmassy at that time of year. You won't be disappointed w/ the decor no matter where you stay.

I really like the decorations at VWL but I believe I am one of the few oddballs who prefers BWV. My DH prefers VWL.

For us as well, it's a toss up between BWV and VWL. Lean towards BWV though.

My list .. BWV, BCV, then VWL

The decorations at WL are nice, but the place is a zoo! We much prefer either BC or BW .. both for the decorations, location, choice of restaurants and quiet atmosphere.

We like it at BWV.
I'd go with one of the Epcot resorts too. There's nothing like a stroll around the Boardwalk, looking at all the garland wrapped light poles, seeing the poinsetta tree on Village Green in front of the BWV, and listening to the Christmas music. And to me, Epcot and MGM are the 2 big draws for theme parks at Christmas. The CP, the tree lighting, the Holiday Storytellers, then in MGM the Osborne Lights.

Great idea! I think my family might enjoy taking time to do this. While we have traveled to Disney around Christmas before we have not since we became DVC members and our children are starting to appreciate Christmas more. We are trying Okw this year I am sure we won't be dissapointed.
