There are 17 of us on the Dream and we would love a group photo. We are in 5 different staterooms. I called DCL and they told me it was $85 for the reserved sitting fee + each individual print. But they didn't know much more than that. I've been looking online for prices but there is so much information...cheaper if you pay in advance or cheaper if you book when on the ship. The CD is $269 which is fine. That way we can print the larger prints ourselves off the cruise. Anyone know if this CD High Res enough to print a 24" x 36"? And if its cheap enough it would be great if we could add random photos through out the cruise.

Has anyone done this before and what did you experience? Thanks in advance.

Photos taken at reserved seatings are not included in the CD. Individual photos cost $20.05 (8X10) and $14.95 (6X8). The only package that has a pre-purchase discount is the full CD. And each room must purchase it's own CD if you want all those photos.

We had a group of 11 and bought one of the pre-packages which let us take home all photos taken on the entire cruise. You can get the CD with all photos on it instead and then print them at home. I am not sure about the resolution for printing a big picture. We did not set up a private sitting we just went out before dinner as a group and had our pictures taken in the main lobby. They had different backgrounds each night. I think for a large group like yours you might have to have your picture taken on the staircase in order to fit all of you. Good luck.

There was a family of AT LEAST 20 people in line a few people ahead of us. Each adult gave the photographer their KTTW cards before taking their large group photo. IMMEDIATELY afterwards, all the little kids took a picture with the grandma. THEN, right after that, each individual family from that LARGE group took separate family photos. Each of those "mini sessions" included several poses. So, needless to say, it took a LONG time for that large family to get all their "photo sessions" done. I thought that was so RUDE and inconsiderate to those of us waiting in line behind them.

I said all of that to say...if your family of 17 decides to take a group photo on the stairs (or any place other than a private session), please be considerate of those waiting in line behind you.

You can also get a release form from the company's website to make copies of the photo taken after you get home.
