Best way to store/view/share our digital pics???

I have been wanting to create some sort of slide show with music and captions for our pictures from a digital camera. I have simply burned them onto a CD and can view them with a computer but I want to jazz it up some.

Would a Power Point slide show be a good idea? We have just installed the program. I can do computer "basics" and power point seems pretty simple.

A few questions about PP:

1. Can I take our digital pics burnt on to a CD and add to my PP slide show?
2. Can I add music?
3. Can I burn a PP slide show onto another CD to share with family??
4. Should I use another type of program for what I am trying to accomplish?

I have PP but use really only use for business presentations, not really sure about using for digital pictures. I suppose it would be fine though, but do not know how.

I have used, and do like, Adobe's Photoshop Album, a really great program designed to sind, sort and present digital pictures. Inexpensive too. Give it a look.

Dan-that is more like what I was looking for. More people will have PDF to read the CDs than a power point viewer.

I may have to make a Wal Mart run and treat myself to this! (tomorrow is my birthday so it will be my gift to myself )I have a 3 day weekend and would love to play around with this!
