What is the best way to split up a group of 8 family members? We are looking for the best balance between price and comfort. A family and inside stateroom; 1 balcony 2 inside????

We are looking at dates during July/Aug 04 - so the prices are high. The members of the group are not small adults - so we were concerned that putting 5 or more people in a room may be too crowded..

Any insight on how to break everyone up would be great!

Could you fit 4 per room? If so, you could book two Cat 9's. That way you would get two portholes plus two split bathrooms. And the price should be reasonable. If you absolutely must have a verandah, then how about one Cat 6 and another Cat 10 or 11 accross the hall. The only downside to the Cat 11 is it doesn't have the split bath.

Check out this website: www.allseastravel.com to see the prices of different categories for different cruise dates. I found it easy to quickly compare prices on this site.

We were worried that 4 large adults would be too much in a room!?! The pull down from the ceiling doesn't seem like it would be very big. No one in the family would be sharing a bed... So it makes it difficult to decide how many and what kind of rooms to get!!!
