hi, i was wondering if you for example have a 2 night stay at a resort and want to change it into 2 reservations of 1 night each, if you can request MS to do this change? If you do it via the online booking tool, you would need to cancel the reservation first, wouldn't you? Which to me feels very risky in case i would lose those dates.

thanks for any reply

Member Services cannot break a reservation into multiple reservations. You would have to modify the original reservation to drop nights and then immediately try to recover those dropped nights. Even MS cannot "hold" those dropped nights in order to re-book them.

thanks for letting me know that! going to keep it as a single reservation then. Way to risky to lose my coveted reservation :-)

you could book a new 1 night reservation, then modify your current reservation to drop that new night. That assumes you have enough points and that a room is available

It definitely can be risky, I lost my SV room at RIV for next week by changing it to a different resort, realized it was stupid and immediately tried to get it back,

One of the two nights was now gone. I was lucky to get PV a few days later after much stalking but obviously the waitlist picked up that one night.
