Part of my job is researching for recalls. Here is the website, www.cpsc.gov. Just type in what you have and it should pull up any recalls on that item. Even if it has a recall, there may be a remedy to it so that it is still useable. The release will give you a phone number/web address to contact them to receive a replacement part (if it is still within the time frame to do so).

I would try the Crisis Pregnancy Center in your area if you have one.....they love to get gently used baby items...as long as they havent been recalled of course and you get to help some young mothers out who are in a hard situation.
