Best way to see Fantasmic!

All sections to the left of the two Dinner Package sections are for those with Fp+.

All sections to the right of the Dinner Package sections are for standby guests.

For how many days has this been (or will this be) the case?

There's no way to tell when they will make changes in the seating areas.

It has been so inconsistent that there are virtually no ongoing reports
of the areas that match.

Sorry, but I've been following these reports on multiple fan sites for months and cannot find consistent answers.

We went 2 weeks ago and did use a fast pass for this --- we were only going to the park that night for F!, so why not - it turned out to be a good thing for us.

Our resort bus was late so we made it 15 minutes before show time, and they were announcing that there were no more stand by spots and only those with fast passes were getting in from that point on.

We were led all the way to the left (2nd last section) and had FABULOUS seats! no - not middle seats, but we have zero complaints, lots of room, saw everything.

The weird thing was the very last section to the left was almost completely empty - so there was a lot of room still, not sure why they stopped letting people in?

Nothing to add
Just wanted to say thanks
Ive been thinking about the same thing.
Looks like a dining package would be best.

So IF we don't do the dining package, we should just line up like regular folks, right? No FP+. I'm gonna assume that the second show would be less crowded, if scheduled. When do most people line up? 1/2 hour before? 2 hours before? Does EMH have any effect on number of shows or crowds?

Second show is generally less crowded than the first show. If you're going at a non-peak time -- meaning before spring break madness starts second week of March, my impression is that lining up 1 hour beforehand is considered the ultra-safe option. If you're willing to be a bit less cautious, my impression is that plenty of people line up around 30-45 minutes out and are able to get seats without a problem. Again, only saying this for an off-peak, second show -- don't quote me for what the wait times are e.g., during the height of spring break because I try to avoid Disney during peak periods.

Thanks! I'm looking at first week of August or second week of October.

Hi Robo,

This was the seating on Tuesday, 2/18. The standby section veered to the right before stroller parking. At the top of the Fp+ entrance, there were at least 6 tapstiles where Fp+ holders entered and stayed to the left.

By 6:20, a manager reported the Pocahontas Fp+ section was 50% full. ***you are correct! It is Pocahontas even though there are two Sorcerer Mickey signs! :)

The best way to see Fantasmic is with a cushioned stadium seat and your favorite adult beverage!!!! and a pair of those new mickey ears that light up!!!

How much does Hollywood Brown Derby cost for the Fantasmic package? Is it the same price for lunch and dinner?

The FAntasmic seating has been the middle section the 3 times we have done it this year (2014).

The information some have given about purchasing the "cheapest" items on the menu, and picking and choosing between appetizers & desserts to have a less expensive ticket is NOT correct. We have done the Fantasmic Dinner package 5 times in the last 6 months (including as recently as 2/9) and it has not changed at all in the last 6 months. Components and prices are set in advance...you choose components, but you will pay the set price per person, regardless of what you order (or don't order) So if you order the cheapest items and skip courses, you're not getting your money's worth...you will still pay full price per person.

At Hollywood & Vine, it is the standard buffet with a non-alcoholic beverage included. Price is approx. $30-32 per adult (whatever the price is for buffet at the time.) We did this package at the end of January 2014, so about 4 weeks ago.

At Mama Melrose, it is approximately $35 per adult...each person chooses any appetizer and entree + non-alcoholic beverage. The dessert is a sampler platter brought to the table. We did this package the first week of January 2014. The price is fixed: you can choose the cheapest or the most expensive and it is still the same price. You can skip an appetizer or dessert if you like, but you will still pay the fixed price for the package.

At Brown Derby, it is approximately $55 per adult...again, each person chooses any appetizer, any entree + non-alcoholic beverage. You do get to choose any dessert at the Brown Derby. Again, price is fixed so ordering cheaper items will not save any money. We just did this package on February 9 2014.

Our advice: book early, because the best times go fast. You may end up with a "lunch" Fantasmic meal that's at 3:00 PM if you wait too late to book. Or "dinner" at 4:00. They do not generally book less than 2 hours before the show, though, because they must be sure you can finish your meal and get to the theater on time. So nights with early show (like 7:00 PM) they usually will not book later than 5:00 PM. Also, if you choose a dessert that can "travel" and get it to go at the end of the meal...take it with you to the theater for a lovely dessert treat at Fantasmic.
