Best way to personalize an ornament?

So I went to a Character Premiere store around my folks and found the CUTEST Mickey and Minnie ornament. I want to personalize it for DBF and I to remember our first Christmas together.

Thing is, since it was bought at a Character Premiere store and not at actual WDW, they didn't offer personalization. How do you recommend me doing it myself? I want it to look elegant, is there any kind of pen I can buy? Suggestions?

You can buy paint pens at craft stores for that type of thing. I'd recommend practicing on paper first, as they take a bit of getting used to. You don't want to get a big blob of the paint as you start a letter.

Even easier is a fine-tip Sharpie. I bought something at a craft show last weekend, and that's what the lady used to personalize it. It looks great on the ceramic, but I think the paint pen would work better on glass.
