Best way to pay a US DVC Owner in £ ?

I am in the process of renting from a US DVC Owner. However, I am in the UK, what is the best way to pay? I have a pay-pal account but does pay-pal charge for converting from £ to US$ and are there other charges? Also hifx.co.uk has been recommended. Any advice would be appreciated.
