Can you still uber to Swan Dolphin from an All Star resort in order to walk to the international gateway or are people turned away?

We took an Uber to Beach Club. This is controversial to some folks but if you’re not comfortable with this, ask a driver to just drop you off near one of the Epcot resorts.

Does the SwanDolphin idea work, where you Uber there and walk? I hear you can get turned away at times

If you get turned away, just have the driver drop you off in the drive towards the hotel and walk from there to the walkway. It’s a public walkway. They can’t ask you why you’re there.

Do you think its too far for a 7 year old?

Good question. I’d honestly say no. From swan to IG probably less than half a mile. That early it won’t be too hot.

Another thought: find a restaurant that’s open early on the boardwalk that is counter service and tell the boardwalk security guy you’re getting breakfast there.

I don't think they'll let you through the guard gate for a counter service restaurant.

You can get turned away from the Disney resorts (YC, BC, BWV) but you won't be turned away from the Swan or Dolphin because there are no guards at the entrances to those two resorts.

No, but if you're not sure, after you walk through the hotel (either Swan or Dolphin) toward the walkway to Epcot, you'll pass the boat dock and can take the Friendship Boat to Epcot. It will be running by then because guests at the resorts on its route will have been going to Epcot for early entry.

This thread is helpful. I am going solo this year and I wanted to at least do early entry at the IG once to get on Remy quickly. I am staying at AS Music and Bay Lake. I was going to bus to HS and Skyliner to Epcot, but it appears their opening times are going to be the same. Sounds like Uber to Swan/Dolphin and walking/boat are the way to go.

Thanks.

You could also Uber to the gas station across from BW. At Dolphin you would probably be dropped off right at the lobby. Walk thru the lobby, down the escalator and out the revolving door on your left after you exit the escalator. Sidewalk will take you kind of a windy way around Dolphin and straight to the YC/BC boardwalk and IG. If you don't feel comfortable walking through Dolphin lobby, there is a little walkway by the bus stop down to the pool area and you can walk through there to the sidewalk that will take you around the Dolphin. A tad longer walk then going through the lobby. I'm not sure about Swan as I haven't stayed there in years but I think Dolphin is probably just a smidge closer to Epcot.

Personally, I'd take rideshare to the Swan. Drop off at the front entrance, straight walk through the lobby to the causeway toward Dolphin, take a right and cross the bridge to the Boardwalk, and walk from there to Epcot IG. Or walk a little farther along the causeway to the Friendship Boat dock and catch the boat to the IG. The boat will stop at Yacht & Beach first, then BW, before getting to the IG, so it will take longer than walking but will save your feet, if that's an issue for you.

I just did the Uber to Swan and walk and it was perfect. Park opened at 9,830 EE. By 930 we rode Remy, Test Track, Frozen, and were waiting at Guardians for our individual LL.
