Ok well my dad had said he would drive us in the our car to logan and pick us up now he says he owuld rather hevae us park our car at his house and he will pay for a cab for us
WHATEVER!
its me DH ds6 and ds20 months
so all of us plus the car seat plus all our luggage
i dont know if we will fot in a reg cab
so I started looking for a shuttle or service to take us
its around 60 each way for a town car
do you think we can fit in a regular cab? and if not how do you get to the airport?
thanks

You could call a couple of cab companies in Burlington and see if they have station wagon cabs - that'd be your best bet with everything you're bringing.

Logan to Burlington is $44.20, but Massport's website says to contact your local cab company for fares to the airport. I live on the North Shore and have had a cab driver tell me the fare would be $35. Plus tip, of course.

You could (my choice) take the Logan Express out of Woburn. It's $20 r/t per adult, children UNDER 12 are free. Unless you're travelling between 11/12 and 11/26, in which case it's only $10 r/t per adult - to encourage travelers NOT to park at Logan.

ETA: I see now you're going for Christmas. I'm sure the same rate will be in effect then for the same reason.

I don't know where your dad lives, but we have used Back Bay Coach in the past. It's a shared shuttle, but I think of all the times I've used them, they only stopped for another passenger once. They always arrived at the house promptly and the price was really reasonable...I think you only pay for the adults not the children. They have a website, so you can find out if they service your town and the price is listed there.

My in-laws use Veteran's Taxi and request a van. That fit MIL, FIL, me, DH, DS DD, two carseats and all our luggage. I have no idea what they paid though.

Have a great trip!

I second the Logan Express. We take it often out of Braintree, and leave our car with relatives in Quincy. The kids would be free, so you're looking at $40 r/t, plenty of room for your stuff, and not a bad drive for your dad (Burlington to Woburn)

Good Luck

hmm i thought logan express in woburn was closed now
the lost in 2 exits before my house and its been empty for along time now
so..thanks for the advice everyone
i will llok into though

South Shore girl here, so take this with a grain of salt:

I copy/pasted this from the Logan Express site:

Woburn Logan Express
Woburn Logan Express has moved to the Anderson Regional Transportation Center (ARTC). The ARTC is located off Route 93 at Exit 37C (this is one exit north of Route 128/I-95 on I-93).

Sounds like they've got a new home?

Good Luck again, if they're still in Woburn, I really think it's the way to go..

yes that is what i found to its over by the target in woburn
we were thinking of that but i am worried about the baby and alsowhenwe return we would have to wait over an hour for the bus to pick us up

What about parking at the airport? People seem so resistant to this. The economy lots are $96 a week and you don't have to worry about a taxi and you can go at your own pace.

Debster is right - they moved! TRUST me, none of the Logan Express routes/stations are closed or closing. If that WERE to happen, they'd start with Peabody, which still gets the fewest riders. Instead, they've increased many days there from hourly to half-hourly.

Alice, I'm not sure why you think you'd have to wait over an hour for a bus coming home? The buses run no further apart than once an hour, and they're really pretty much on schedule (although there was one time there were two Peabody buses waiting in Peabody at the same time, I don't know why)
