Best way to get from WL to Ft. W Archery Experience?

I know things could change, but, as of now with no boat service from WL to Ft. W, what is our best bet to get from WL to the Archery Experience at Ft. W? Is there still a bus that goes from WL to Ft. W and, if that is an option, would that bus get us close to where the Archery Experience takes place or would we need to take an internal bus at Ft. W to get there? We may also rent a car, but wondering with that option if we would still need to take an internal bus. Thanks!!

No personal experience, but I have read a few posts on the Resorts Board since reopening saying that the bus is running - it runs from WL to FW via that access road that goes by what was going to be Reflections and the new stables, then drops off near that bus stop area by Pioneer Hall.

If I’m not mistaken, the archery is at the Bike Barn, right? You’d probably want to take the internal bus there, although I’ve walked it and it’s really not a bad walk. I’m thinking 10-15 mins (don’t quote me on that exactly). I think the time we walked I did it because I thought it would be easier than figuring out the internal buses.

Hopefully someone with more recent actual experience with the WL-FW bus can chime in to confirm it’s running and provide any other specifics.

Thank you so much! I don't mind walking either! Even getting close to Pioneer Hall on the WL-Ft. W bus would be great as we'd like to get food from P&J's as well that day. Thank you!

Yes, the archery activity is behind the Bike Barn in the center of the Fort.

There is a bus that runs regularly from WL to the Settlement Bus Depot at FW (that's the end of the Fort that's down by the lake and HDDR).

Ask your driver, but the WL --> FW bus may stay at the Fort and become the FW internal Yellow line bus after it makes its trip from WL. In case that's so, stay on it then (after verifying with the bus driver). Get off at the 2nd stop for 1400 loop (which is a circle within a circle loop). Walk into the loop bearing left on the outer most circle (closest to the bus road) and walk past the Comfort Station on the left then bear off to the CS driveway/sidewalk left to the back of the bleachers used for the campfire singalong. Walk through that theater (or behind the bleachers) as it is empty during the day and out the other side. The pond and BB will be on the right and archery on the left past cart parking lots as you are facing the Meadow Pool.

I think the WL to FW bus becomes the Yellow line because when going in the opposite direction, the Yellow line stops at Settlement then flips its exterior sign to WL and makes its next run down Wilderness Way to the Lodge. My assumption that it flips its destination in both directions.

The Exercise/walking Trail between FW and WL has been torn up and is not passable/walkable and is marked off limits.
