best way to get from Polynesian to WL

was wondering if anyone has ever WALKED from the Polynesian to the Wilderness Lodge. i know it is a relatively short distance, but the walk doesn't seem like an easy one to me.

here's the deal: have a 5pm dinner ps at polynesian; and we are going to MVMCP that night. i wanted to do a sleigh ride at the WL between the two. we have a car and are staying at the swan, but i didn't know if i'd be able to leave the car at WL for 6 hours plus seems easier just to take the bus back after MVMCP. but my problem then is getting to WL from Polynesian quickly. the castmember i spoke to insisted that the walk was super fast and super easy and would be no problem. but i don't remember there being any sort of path or sidewalk. any ideas on best way to do this?

We stayed at the Polynesian last summer and went over to WL for dinner. Never saw any path/walkway. We took the Polynesian path to TTC and grabbed the WL bus from there. We took the boat back from WL to CR but you could take the MK boat too!! But walk?? I don't think so.

i know. i thought the same thing. but my castmember insisted. she gave me detailed instructions and said she does it all the time! i thought maybe i was very wrong.

They are not that far apart. However, there is no sidewalk. According to Tyler, the bus drivers or security guards will not let you walk.

There is a direct bus from TTC to WL. Since the Poly is next door, I'd just take this bus.

You're right, you cannot park at WL for 6 hours. You can only park for 3 hours.

You could take the Epcot monorail to Poly(via TTC). From there you can catch boats to WL via MK.

That sounds like such fun!!! We are going in December! Is the sleigh ride in place of the carriage ride? Tell me more please.

We are staying at the Poly. I think that you can take the boat from FW or WL to the GF ( I'm pretty sure I read this when I asked a similar question), and then get off and take the monorail to the Poly, if you are looking for something different. Then of course you can take the boat launch from the Poly to MK for MVMCP.

OK.........do tell. We have stayed at the WL several times (own at VWL) and I have no idea what you are talking about. What is the sleigh ride? Carriage ride? What's that?
