Best way to get from AK to MK?

Staying off site and wondering if we opted to head over to MK after AK, would it be easier to just drive from one park to the other, or to leave the car at AK and take the shuttle(?) to AK.
Also, do the parking lots close at a particular time?

Easiest is to just drive. When you park at AK make sure you keep parking receipt as then you won't have to pay to park again at MK. Other option is to take bus but bus from AK to MK leaves you off at TTC which is same area you park. Bus back to AK continues to run until after MK closes even though AK closes earlier. Parking lots remain open at all parks until after last park closes. Nevertheless, still best to have your car at MK if you are planning to head back to hotel after you leave there.
