Okay, sound crazy, but we've booked the Boardwalk but would rather be in the Beach Club, but the Disney website says it's full. Or rather it doesn't offer any options.
What's the best way to try to get a room (if ever one comes free)?
Just keep trying on-line and on the phone?

Thanks,

call first thing each morning. If you can acess the 800 number that's even better. 800-828-0228. Also try the Yacht Club, lovely resort, shares all amenities of the Beach Club. We are a family with two young girls (8 & 10) and we actually prefer the YC over BC.

The website is not the best way to judge availability. Call, and also try Expedia to see if they are showing any rooms. Calling is best though.

I have had Disney's site not offer me a room at my preferred resort, but Expedia showed availability, so I called Disney, and of course, the rooms were indeed open and I could book them. Or, the website won't offer me the type of room I want at the resort, but when I call, it's available.

I think the website tries to steer you to other resorts sometimes that have more rooms available, even when one or two rooms may still be available at your first choice. Just a way for them to try to manage the bookings, and fill hotels with more vacancies.
