We will be going to universal on june 4 for one day. We will be staying offsite and won't have fotl. We are planning to be there when the park opens. How do you recomend that we plan our day? We will have 4 kids with us 2, 6, 8, 10....I will definately have to go to barney at least once with the little guy. ugggg!

Also, how far is it if you go out of the park to eat at nascar cafe or margaritaville? Would it be a long walk?

The walk to both restaurants is only a few minutes.

I can't answer your touring plans as we have never been with several young children. I could tell you how to plan to get on all the thrill rides, but not how to do Barney!!

if you are willing to split up your party take the time to find out which rides have a single rider lines and where they are. the next step is to make sure to use the fast passes provided for some of the rides.
we went through the single rider line 7 times in a row for men in black. The single rider line was even shorter than the line for fotl access.

You'll want to split and let the 8 and 10 year old go on the fun rides.

As you enter the park, the older kids will run to the Mummy ride. Let them run up ahead while you take the little ones on Neutron and Shrek.

You could probably sit up front in the non moving seats for the 2 year old, or just walk thru to the exit and wait. Neutron has a playground at the exit.

After that, the older ones will want to run to MIB and get their rides before the crowd hits. You can take the little ones to the Fieviel Playground area, which has a water park. They'll spend hours here, bring a change of cloths and a good book to read. Barney is also in this section.

Those walkie talkie radios might help, because it's really not fair to make a 10 year old drag behind with a 2 year old, when the Mummy is opening.

The walk to Nascar isn't that bad, bug you're dragging 4 kids out with you. Get a stroller for the little ones. If you leave USF, you probably won't go back. Just stay in there, find other restaurants, then visit Nascar on the way out for some cheap beers.

Robvia--Thanks so much for your help. I think we will definately have to split up. Maybe I can somehow push barney off on dh and i can ride the fun rides.....:hyper:

After all day with our 4 kids we will need a beer on the way out.

Get there early! You will have lots of fun, but make sure you have a plan.

Spidey--That is what i need......A PLAN......lol

Could you help me out with a good one? pleeeeeeeeeeeease...

After your full day in the park you can always go to the outside window at Margaritaville and have a margarita. Or inside if you haven't eaten dinner. Oh so good! There are some places in the park that have happy hour and you can have a beer while your 2yo naps in the stroller. Geez, I sound like a lush (I'm really not  ), but I do have this vision of coming back after riding with my older kids on Dueling Dragon only to see my husband happily sipping away on a beer while our 3yo slept. Whatever floats your boat!

Ah, yes, Barney. My DH has already volunteered to bring our now 4yo. I brought him last month when I was in Orlando with only the 4yo and we each brought him last spring. I don't know that I can sit through it again, even though it's not a terrible show, so will let my husband have a turn. I can go on MiB a few times while he's watching Barney. hehehe

T&B

Well, for IOA instead of going left, I would go right towards Seuss Landing. I would do that first and work my way that way. However if there are attractions that you would rather get an express pass for, I would get that first.

You will have a blast! I will post anything else I think of.
