Hello! Planning to do fantasyland (as well as haunted mansion) with genie+ in the morning, and we are also doing EE. Plan to leave the park for a break at 12pm. I'm really unsure of what strategy to use for genie+.

I want to do Peter Pan and thinking that would the best use of the LL. Would you:

(A) try to book that for as early as possible (9am), and then grab as many LL as possible as you travel left to right across fantasyland? or

(B) book it for late morning/early afternoon, possible not getting any other am LL but getting good use of short waits during the morning as you work right to left in fantasyland toward PP.

Thanks in advance =)

I would choose A--book for as early as possible. I chose this because if you do B, you'll have to wait until 2 hours after park opening (not ETPE, but the official opening time) before you can book another G+.

No 7DMT? Hmmm.

Our strategy 2 trips ago was to do ETPE and ride PPF first. Hahahaha! No. And we were near the front of the ETPE line . . . but . . . you basically have to sprint to PPF in order to not wait in a line at least 40 minutes long. We learned our lesson and last trip used G+ for PPF and booked HM when we got off. Worked out.

The only way I book the first G+ for the afternoon is if I'm not going to the park until later and I spend the morning trying to create a viable stack.

Also, I'm not sure when the afternoon times for PPF start showing up on G+. Someone else will no doubt have that info and post on this thread. Because that could create a lot of unnecessary staring-at-your-phone-screen time while trying to enjoy the early morning.

We were just there and did the following

G+ Peter Pan for 9-10
EE - Pooh, Small World, Carousel
After Peter Pan get a HM
Standby Mermaid, Dumbo, Barnstormer
After HM you can see if Mickey aligns with the time you are leaving and hit it on the way out.

Could also fit in a 7DMT ILL if you do choose.

Thanks for the tips! All great advice I will take....I am planning on doing 7DMT, however I was going to purchase ILL so didn't mention it.

Your reminder about how fast the line builds up definitely makes me know I need to choose it for 9am, lol. I remember trying extra magic hours one year thinking I'd start with TSMM with a 10-15min wait and by the time we got there it was 90 minutes!!!

I have two kids that are out of stroller but still young (6 and 9) so I was hoping not to be zigzagging across the park. HM doesn't open during ETPE which complicates things.

Thanks! Did you do standby for Mermaid, Dumbo, and Barnstormer between Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion?

I'm wondering how you found going back and forth like that. My kids are walking and I'm wondering if it will be a lot for them with the heat. Last time we were there they were in a stroller.

Yes I did standby for those. Those rides won’t post a wait more than 10 minutes until after 11ish. Pooh and Small World
jumped to 30 quickly once park opened so it is important to do them during EE.

They are all relatively close. We did this order once official park opened: Tea Party, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Ariel. Also Belle begins meeting around 10 at her cottage. It’s not announced. If that is of any interest.

If you want to do Princess Fairytale Hall I recommend doing that right at 9 because that gets a decent line.

After you do HM I would start stacking your G+ for return after your break. Jungle Cruise goes the fastest followed by Splash and Space. Pirates was pretty readily available and so was Big Thunder. You may need to wait an hour or so until your return time on those.

I will say the end of past week was way more crowded than when we first arrived last Friday. We left yesterday. So results may vary given increased crowds.

You read my mind. I've been stacking with previous trip and want to try to book-ride-book-ride etc in Fantasyland this September. My current plan is to RD EE PeterPan and then RD regular Haunted Mansion. I'll prob ILL SDMT. But what should be the rest of my strategy with book-ride-book-ride as much as possible for the rest of the morning... Looking forward to reading the answers to your question.

How early were you at the gates to have to wait 40 minutes for PPF?

Rather than waste the time waiting to get into EE, I’d make PP your first G+. You could arrive closer to 8:30 without worry and then hit a lot of rides in a short time span. If you have little ones this is a good time to do Princess Hall as well. The app will really dictate where you go bc of return times. Some rides don’t have a wait first thing so if you want to ride them twice I’d save the G+ (e.g. Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Tea cups, etc). Later in the day those are almost guaranteed instant rides but waits will be 20-40 minutes.

There are a lot of rides in that area that are fantastic to do at rope drop without the need for G+. Book your first G+ for a headliner (your choice) as early as possible and then do a number of these with little to no standby wait:
  • Carrousel
  • Philharmagic
  • Small World
  • Mermaid
  • Barnstormer
  • Dumbo
  • Tea Party
  • Pooh
  • or...
  • Alladin
  • Tiki Room
  • Pirates (maybe short wait)

  • Haunted Mansion (maybe short wait)

  • Speedway
  • Buzz (maybe short wait)

It's a great way to knock out a lot of rides until your first G+ timeslot opens

I can't speak for the OP here, but my experience over Easter was that we were at the Fantasyland entrance for EE around 8:10. We hit PP first once they let us in (right before 8:30) - I can't remember the exact times, but according to some photos I took, we were definitely in the line at 8:35 and off by 8:54, so probably less than a 15 minute wait. Obviously, this is variable depending on the day and a luck factor. But most people at RD will be heading to SDMT - PP was the next best option and it worked well for us.
