I'm confused with DIsney's web sites and buying park tickets.
this summer will be our first trip as DVC members <BCV> and I'm looking for
four adults tickets with park hopper for 5 days. On the main Disney site it has $1,120.00 on the ticket site; on the Dis ticket site it's was $1,128.00. I also thought that DVC'er got a discount but can't find out where to order this in the DVC member Section. I've alway used DU and got the package plan which
included the park tickets on our room keys. Do I need to buy tickets ahead of time and can they put them on our room keys. Do I need to go to a park entrance, ticket center or BCV lobby.
it was so much easier when my DU TA handled all this.

Thanks again for any and all help.

for all the guest that Disney had over the years
it's still amazing that there are so many questions
about tickets, dining and resorts
I guess that why the Dis will be and always be needed
Thanks DIs

DVC doesn't offer any discounts for park tickets, unless you buy an annual pass. There is a significant discount for an annual pass, but that won't help you.

You can buy tickets ahead of time, but I would suggest just waiting till you get down there. They can put the tickets on your key card. My husband and I always check in to the hotel, and then go over to guest services and get our tickets.

To check in to the Beach Club Villas you will go to the lobby of the Beach Club. They are essentially one in the same, just tell them that you are on the Villa side.

Hope this was somewhat helpful

Don't forget the Disney price of $1120 doesn't include taxes. It would be $1192.80 total to purchase your tickets through Disney.

I would agree that I would purchase the tickets when you get there. If you do decide to purchase the tickets before they will also put those on your Key to the World Card. You can purchase the tickets or have them transferred to your KTTW card at the concierge.

Have a great trip. You will love BCV!

yep, unfortunately no DVC discounts other than annual pass, which is about $100 off. We plan to get AP's for the first time ever before our Dec trip and can't wait!

if you decide to buy them beforehand- like from undercover tourist etc. they can put them on your KTTW card once you check in. :thumbsup2

have a great trip.

If you nplan your trips correctly, even if you're going to use your DVC membership once a year, it may still be worth getting annuasl passes.

I'm taking my family on may 27th this year, so if I go again next year, as long as my trip ends before may 27th 2011 I can use the same annual pass. Supposedly if you plan on using your pass for 10 days it's cheaper than getting park passes. Not sureif that 10 day number is with or without the DVC discount.

Not sure if you are doing the dining plan or not, but being an annual pass owner gives you discounts at various restaurants, as does being a DVC member.

Yes, as long as it's least 2 separate trips within a one year period, it will be cheaper to do the DVC annual pass.

please note that you can also buy your tickets from a "licensed" ticket media seller right from the DIS.

If you look at the header box right above the thread you'll see Tickets

if you click on that link it will take you to the page where you can get the tickets at a discounted price :thumbsup2

DVC only offers a discount on APs. We've found an AP is worth the money if we plan to visit the parks for 10 days plus throughout the year. You can obtain a DVC discounted AP at any park ticket booth.

The ticket price on Disney's website and at the park/resort itself is the same price. No discount there. However, if you use a site like Undercovertourist.com, you receive a discount and the tickets are shipped to your home. Also, if you join Mousesavers.com you can get a code for even bigger saving on park tickets. A park ticket CAN be added to your KTTW card.

Do I need to go to a park entrance, ticket center or BCV lobby.

Purchasing a ticket or AP at the park entrance is a breeze.
