Would anyone be able to help me. We will be taking an Illuminations Cruise from Yatch/Beach Club launch. :boat: How do we get back to WL? Will we need to walk through EPCOT to get to Bus/monirail or is there a better way? :confused3

When I took the Illuminations Cruise, our driver offered to drop us off at the Epcot dock at the International Gateway to save some steps rather than go all the way back to the Y&BC. We were staying at the POFQ, so, we would have had to walk through Epcot and take a bus as well.

We didn't wind up doing that. We decided it was worth the money to take a cab back. We figured it was worth it not to have to drag my tired little cousin through the park and on a crowded bus.

Frankly, the easiest would be to take a taxi if you won't have a car.

You could take a bus from YC to the MK and catch a bus or take the boat to WL if the MK is still open. Or take the boat from YC to MGM and catch a bus from there if MGM happens to be open later than MK.

You could also take a bus to DTD and transfer there but I think I would walk through Epcot before I did this.

About how much is a cab ride? My Dh likes this idea. How difficult is it to get a cab at this time? The International gateway thing doesn't sound bad to me either. May 9 is scheduled to be a MK late night(Spectro Magic). I would rather avoid that whole mess.

When we took the cruise, the driver offered to take us to EPCOT and we boarded our bus from there. Otherwise, we would have driven to the resort launch - or taken a taxi back from there. I think next time we might ask to be taken to EPCOT when we are done, it worked out pretty well.

The fastest route would be to take a taxi from the Yacht Club or get dropped at the Boardwalk dock and grab a taxi from in front of the Boardwalk Villas. Both of these are short walks from the dock to the front of the resort.

The valets at either resort will be glad to whistle over one of the waiting cabs in the queue.

The Mears Taxi fare estimator suggests that it is 4.5 miles and approximately $11 to the Wilderness Lodge from the Epcot Resort area.

a nice way to end the evening is to wander around the boardwalk after the cruise. Stay away from the buses, and stroll around. See the acts on the BW, have a drink, get a snack and then take a taxi back to your resort. Well worth the money to end your magical evening

This sounds good to me,however, my DD's(4&6) will be all done.

I thank everyone for the suggestions. I think we are leaning towards the cab thing. Unless the DD's have and unexpexted 2nd wind. :flower:

we took the cruise last july and on the way back i was thinking how to get back. i figured we would have to take a bus to TTC then catch one back to WL. well when i mentioned this to angelo, our captain, he offered to drop us off at the MGM dock and we hopped on a bus back to WL. a great gesture to end a great night
