I want to take a water bottle and some dried lemonade packets for the parks. Where can a buy something that would be easy and light to carry. I understand the parks will refill your bottle with ice water. Is that good tasting water or the yukky florida water?

Thanks Lene

Good morning!

I'm not sure if our water here is very similar to the parks or not, but I don't notice an "off" taste to the water there. However, lots of people seem to use the Brita water bottle with a filter. Where I live the Big Lots has the Culligan water bottle w/filter for 98 cents apiece. That's much cheaper than the Brita if you can find it.

...but don't put the lemondae in the Brita bottles because the filter will filter it out and you will end up with weird water and a useless filter. You could filter water by squirting it into a cup and then adding lemondae. Our Kmart here (and from other postings everywhere) have the bottles and filters on clearance for $4 and $2.50. Have fun!

It wasn't until I took a sip from a drinking fountain at AK that I realized just how bad the water actually was. The entire trip I would stop by the drinking fountains and fill up my Britta bottle and never thought twice about the water. The one time I decided to take a quick sip was my last.

I would definetly recommend this bottle. its small enough to carry around the park. It really came in handy. We filled it with Ice at the hotel and then by the time we needed a drink the ice melted to form awesome filtered Ice Water.
