Best walking SHOES? Memory foam?

Do they have an arch?
I have the olawahu and they have an arch and I love them, my dd got much but they have no arch, not sure if she has orignal or mush II???

they don't really have much of an arch. my feet have a tiny, almost non-existent arch, so they work well for me. if you have a high arch, they might not be as comfortable. i can say, though, i was VERY pleased with how well they wore on our trip last year. no blisters AT ALL (and i ALWAYS get blisters), and the thing between my toes didn't even bother me! the funny thing is, until i got my teva mush, i had always HATED flip-flops.

Yours must be older! I ordered a pair of" the original mush" and also a pair of the mush II. They both ran very small. The original mush ones have been brought back by popular demand according to their website and they run Small now. I wonder if the new original mush are as good as the original original mush lol.

mine are about 15-18 months old. i had heard that the mush II ran small, but, if the "new" original mush run small as well, UGH!! why can't these shoe companies leave our comfy favorites alone?!

I just ordered a pair of the teva original mush after reading so much about them here!

I also love my montrail molokini recovery flips - they are fantastic for everyone asking about a flip flop having an arch. They are not cheap, but so well worth it. You actually bake them in the oven and mold them to your feet - my legs never feel tired in them.

I am also planning on wearing my keens. I have the newport H2O. I liked the look of the Whispers better, but they are too narrow for my foot.

ETA: I forgot to add that I do have the sketchers go walks. They are comfortable, but my feet get hot in them now, I can't imagine them in August in WDW. For those of you who wear them in the world, is it hot when you go?

if you have high arches I love my ecco biom trainers. That said they are 150$ but i did just find a pair online for 90$ They are the only shoes that don't put my toes to sleep

I have issues with plantar fasciitis so I need good arch support. I prefer new balance. I recently tried the teva mush, I had to order them online. They felt really comfy, but they ran too small. I'd need to Order up. Anyone else have that problem? I normally do a 7.5 and the 8 was too small. I fear a 9 will be too big. But they run small.

I too have plantar fasciitis. It sounds like you got the newer Teva Mush. Before developing PF, I used to swear by Teva Mush and carried several pairs down there every trip. That's about all I ever wore at WDW and my feet were happy. The old original Teva Mush always fit true to size. The newer ones run small and narrower. After developing plantar fasciitis though, I couldn't even wear my orignal Teva Mush and thought my flip flop days might be over. However, living in the south where flip flops are staples in our footwear and considering how much I love flip flops, I spent a fortune on a quest to find the perfect flip flop that would give my poor feet the support they need. I found it in the OluKai Ohana.:cloud9: They are a little more expensive, but worth every penny. I also like the Cobian Leather Bounce, Sketcher Tone Ups, Fit Flops, Orthoheel Tides and Waves, Montrail Molokini, Flojos Exena, Yellow Box Jello, and Volatile Keralees. Nothing compares to my OluKai Ohanas though.:cloud9: I also have a few pairs of the other OluKai (Kumu, Paniola, and Haiku Elua), but don't like them near as well as I do my beloved Ohanas though. I go to WDW several times a year and always wind up in the OluKai Ohanas.

Last trip I wore Teva Mush, Orthaheel and Chaco flip flops. All were very comfortable and I had no issues. Recently I purchased Spenco Yumi flip flops and I love them. They have the orthotic arch support and a metatarsal support. I plan to take these on my trip this year.

You might want to wear those Spenco Yumi for an all day shopping trip. I have two pairs of those and love them for around the house, but once wore my pink ones all day shopping. That little raised metatarsal support area made my feet very sore by that afternoon and by the time I got home late that evening I had a blister. I wear flip flops pretty much year around (with my plantar fasciitis, I never go barefoot even in the house), so my feet are very used to flip flops, but the metasarsal support in the Spenco Yumi do a number even on my feet by the end a day. Before developing plantar fasciitis I used to swear by Teva Mush or Ulani, Reef Ginger or Slap, Yellow Box, Grazie, Chaco, Sanuck Yoga Mats, North Face Base Camp Wedge, and Nike Celso.

I also love my montrail molokini recovery flips - they are fantastic for everyone asking about a flip flop having an arch. They are not cheap, but so well worth it. You actually bake them in the oven and mold them to your feet - my legs never feel tired in them.

Another fan here of the Montrail Molokini. Before finding my beloved Olukai Ohanas, they were another flip flop I highly recommended. I still love them and take them to WDW sometimes, but not as much as I love my OluKai Ohana's. I have over 200 pairs of flip flops and none compare to my beloved OluKai Ohanas. I swear they cured my plantar fasciitis and I will never be without several pairs. For my trip in two weeks, all we are taking are carryons. I plan on wearing a pair of gold (Mica) OluKai Ohanas on the plane and will pack a silver pair. I figure a gold and a silver pair will match everything I'll be wearing. Again I have many, many pairs of flip flops, but if I am going to be on my feet alot, always depend on the OluKai Ohanas. My elderly mom still loves her Montrail Molokini though. I bought her her first pair. When they came in, she tried them on and immediately fell in love. When I told her I was going to bake them for a few minutes, she nearly had a fit, even though she'd seen me bake several pairs of mine. lol She kept insisiting they were perfectly comfortable straight out of the box, but I told her they'd be even more comfortable after they were baked and she wore them for a few minutes, so they could conform perfectly to her feet. She fretted and threatened me the whole time they were in the oven that I better not ruin her shoes. lol Now when we get new pairs, she just hands them to me straight out of the box and tells me to bake them for her. lol

so,here's my experience with shoes.... with the Teva mush flops, and the crocs, when I wear them for a few days, they sort of mold to the shape of my foot, providing perfect fit,and arches....don't they do that with everyone? :confused3
I have HIGH arches, and love these! That said, with my current foot issues,I am going back to birkenstocks,as they have hard soles, and those supports that I love...(just found a cute pair on Amazon for about 40.00)
I am going to check out the NB option for sneaks
yesterday I tried on a pair of merrell barefoot sneakers:cheer2: OH my goodness! (but it was MArshalls, only one size, and they were too big...:sad2:

The youth size 4 Keens were too small, by a tiny bit. I did a little more measuring and research and realized that I should get a size 5. So I exchanged them. Hoping the 5's will be perfect. I really love the shoe, and the price!
