Best Viewing Spots for Fireworks/Parades?

Any tips on where to best view the parade in California Adventure? Also, where is a good spot to view fireworks in Disneyland park? We will be there on the 4th of July, does anyone know if there are special fireworks on that particular day?

On the 4th? I have not been, but I have heard the crowds are crazy, so if a good spot is important, I think you'll have to camp early.

In general: we love the spot by the hub facing the castle, were the tracks come together, for watching fireworks. For the parades we nab a spot by the ice cream shop (looks like a train), or in the little area just before the Pacific Wharf. I don't know how the construction affects these spots.

Prior to 2009, 4th of July is a CRAZY busy day at Disneyland. I would say the best place to watch fireworks is anywhere on Main Street that you can find a non-occupied spot.

Enter 2009. With the blockout dates they way they were set up, the 4th of July was not busy at all. Very bizarre, but true. If that repeats in 2010, my favorite fireworks spot is: Dead center left to right, just a little bit forward of the Photo Supply Shop.

FYI, come April the DEP will leave DCA. That will only leave Pixar Play Parade. I have not seen it yet myself.

Usually the best place for DL fireworks is the hub.

Good to know...so no DEP after April, but then the World of Color will be in CA, correct? That sounds cool. I hope the crowds on 4th of July are like last year...that would be really nice for us!

The fireworks on the 4th are different. You'll be seeing a lot of reds, whites, & blues.
