Best Value Pool?

Hi!

I know this is totally subjective, but I'm just curious for those of you who have stayed at multiple value hotels, who has the best themed pool?

In order to get us to WDW faster, I think we are going to do a split stay with 2 night value and three nights deluxe. Our boys will be 5 and 6 when we (hopefully) get to go back. We only do half days in the parks, so the grounds/pool is really important to us.

The pools at the All-Star resorts are just pools. There is a theme which is nice and it is right next to the food court for easy to refill those resort cups.

We stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort with our boys 7 & 5 and that pool was really cool. It is shaped like a fort and has 2 water slides. My boys were quite happy in the pool. My little guy was still small enough to also play in the pirate ship area which has the bucket fill up and spill all over everything. I thought the resort was well worth it.

Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate resort though.

Basically the pool at Values are all the same thing - big watering holes to accomodate the masses. Nothing really more *fun* about one over the other. The only thing that varies is the theming - so I think it would come down to which theme appeals to you most. We have stayed at ASMovies (it was so long ago I can't remember the theme). We have also stayed at POP 3 times and enjoyed all 3 pools equally - bowling pin, computer and hippy dippy.
Although now that I think of it - I think ASMusic may have some activites poolside - not 100% sure though.

I think All Star Music and Pop have the best pools.

All Star Music has daily games in the afternoons (hoola hoop, trivia, musical rings, huge blow up ball the lifeguards throw in for the swimmers to volly with) and a movie every night by the pool. Its a lot of fun, even my teenagers enjoy those activities. They had scavenger hunts our last stay there in October as well as the other stuff I mentioned. Any guest of any of the All Star resorts can enjoy any of the pools/activities. So if your boys are into Sports maybe stay there but be sure and check out those games and movies over at Music. No idea why a movie my kids have seen at home is so appealing by the pool but we always have to set aside a night or two to hang out and see the movie if we stay at Music.

Pop is a fun pool as well, and it has some spray jet things that my dd has always liked. I think Pop has a great food court and the whole resort is just very fun.

All the values have quiet pools and main pools.

As far as grounds, I think Pop and Music win in that category too. Pop has the lake and Music has the most landscaped feel vs the most icon feel of the four values.

We have stayed at all the values and while I know the pools lack slides and hot tubs they are hardly just a place to get wet. Most kids love the icons each pool has right in it, plus some of them are shaped in fun shapes (bowling pin, flower, guitar). So they feel a bit more special than the average hotel pool.

We've really enjoyed the pools at POP. Hippy Dippy is pretty fun. DD has played poolside games there a few years back. Hippy Dippy is usually the more crowded pool. There are usually pool toys-noodles, balls, etc. floating around in the 3 pools.

At 5 & 6 your boys will have fun no matter which pool they are in (if they are like most kids ) as long as it's water.

POP pool gets my vote. (Hippy Dippy). Its a fun pool.
