What restaurants in or out of the parks do you feel are the best VALUE for the dollar - not necessarily the cheapest, but somewhere where you feel you had a decent meal for the buck.

You can include ambiance and/or service into equation if you'd like, or base it just on meal quality/quantity. Table Service or Counter Service is fine.

I'd love to get some feedback, as last time I was on the "plan" and the time before we only visited the World to dine at CG. (mucho excellente')

Thanks in advance

We always eat OOP. Some of our favorite places to frequent where we feel we are getting good food for not too crazy prices:
The Plaza, KONA, Seasons in the Land, Crystal Palace, Cape May (but i have heard it has gone seriously downhill), California Grill, (it;s relative), COsmic Rays, Kimono's, and Earl of Sandwich to name a few.

I've always felt the best bang for my buck at Disney was at the Trails end buffet and Earl of sandwich.

I thought Akershus lunch was a good value. Food was surprisingly good for a mass-produced character meal.

Tusker house's salmon used to be my #1 CS choice for a great value, but it's gone the way of Mr. Toad.

Dh and I always pay OOP, we tend to share a lot of CS places.

The number one bang for the buck is a buffet. We tend to do a lot of breakfast ones like Cape May and CP. We LOVE Beirgarten for lunch, the food is fantastic! Kona breakfast is awesome too, very large portions.

CS places...WPE in DTD, the food is amazing and the portions are huge. Sunshine Seasons, Tangerine Cafe and Lotus Blossom are great.

We had a nice lunch at the Plaza at MK. It is small and very cute. Pretty easy to get ADRS there, too...since it is relatively inexpensive (for TS), lots of people on the plan don't want to "waste" their TS credits there. We also thought the Akershus Princess lunch was a good value....at least compared to Liberty Tree Tavern.

For MK, I like Cosmic Rays. Even when it's packed the lines go pretty quick and you we can always find a table out on the covered patio. If we are looking for more, Crystal Palace is nice. It is very pretty inside (very open feeling) and the food is always wonderful.

At Epcot, I would recommend Garden Grill. Very relaxing.

It's on the buffet now and still really YUMMY! I ate there last week!

We ate at Earl of Sandwich and they were VERY affordable! Good food too!

Breakfast at Boatwrights, dinner at Boma, CS at Tangierine Cafe.

MK Columbia Harbour House
Epcot Tangierine Cafe, Sunshine Seasons
DTD Earl of Sandwich
AK Flame Tree Barbeque, Tusker House

Trails End at FW

Crystal Palace, Cape May (breakfast or dinner)
Boma

Still have to visit Fresh at the Dolphin

Yes, but at buffet prices, it's less of a value than it was at counter service prices...:(

Biergarten is one of our favourites at EPCOT. Your kids will enjoy the show. Also, Earl of Sandwich is a must do every trip!

I'd vote for buffets such as Biergarten in Germany and Crystal Palace or all you can eat like Whispering Canyon's skillet (the meat falls off the ribs it's so tender) or O'Hana at the Poly even the Garden Grill in the Land. We've always felt we've gotten our money's worth at those places and gotten some great food too. We're obsessed with O'Hana we've been twice this year and want to go back again. We make a late lunch ressie for Biergarten or Crystal Palace so we can have the lunch and the dinner selections for the lunch price. It works out quite well. We had prime rib and pulled pork at Crystal Palace even though it was a lunch ressie they started putting out the dinner selections early.

Another vote here for Trail's End Buffeteria and I'd add the ESPN Club at the BoardWalk.

Bill From PA

TS: Trail's End, Chef Mickey's (breakfast), Boma, Kona Cafe, Fresh Mediterrean Market (breakfast), ESPN Cafe

CS: Wolfgang Puck Express, Sunshine Seasons, most of the TS in the World Showcase....

Thanks all - personally, I'd pay $$$ for Boma and CG - Ohana wasn't what it was cracked up to be, IMHO

Tangierine Cafe - huge portions easily split between 2
Kona
Chefs de France, esp lunch menu
Columbia Harbour House
Sunshine Seasons
French Bakery
Spoodles
Raglan Road
