I have a few:
Cosmic Rays-for the ribs and chicken combo
Tangerine Cafe'-great food and portions
Pepper Market-Awsome meals and huge variety, my favorite!
In the MK, Cosmic Rays chicken and rib meal is a super option, but we have also done well at Pecos Bills because of the condiments table. Sauted onions and mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes, you can also make a nice salad.
Our absolute favorite CS was Sunshine Seasons in The Land in Epcot.
Excellent choices; stirfry/noodles, excellent salads, sandwiches, and more. They have a phenomenol bakery and didn't exclude a thing for our DDP dessert choices. I've never seen so many options at a CS restaurant.
I'll second the Wolfgang Pucks Express at DTD. The food is great, the portions are huge, the only problem I had was they only offered a large cookie or a brownie for DDP dessert. The brownie was flavorless and like sawdust. Still the entree is a great DDP value.
AFAIC, these are the ones that you can get the best mileage from -- where you can be most confident that two people can share one meal, and thereby make your credits go further.
We stayed at CSR and ate at Pepper Market several times and OMG the meal portions are so HUGE. We had food from the Pizza station, Chinese Station and Steak Grill. Strip Steak at $19.95 is a CS entree!! Yes, and My spouse loved it!
Cosmic Rays is awesome and normally Pecos Bills (the meal we had there this time during MNSSHP was less then stellar...food dried up...yuch!)
In DTD, Wolfgang Puck Express is the BOMB. We had Pizza several times, then I had Chicken Ceasar which was yummy. Oh and for dessert, you can also get Creme Brulee as well. I know we did ;0
As several folks mentioned Sunshine Food Court was also great...we had a late breakfast there one morning and got plenty to eat.
I agree as well with Cosmic Ray's and Sunshine Seasons. I'd also add the Mara at AKL...they have a wonderful African Stew in a bread bowl, the fried shrimp platter is good as well... plus you can have the Zebra Domes as a desert!
Is the Tusker House at the AK a counter service or a table service? I thought counter but wasn't sure. I have heard that the food is good and plentiful there also.
We got a LOT of food at Flame Tree (AK). We were going to pay OOP for the onion rings, and she let us use a snack credit for them! I think we would have spent $32-33 for lunch for two there, with all the food we got. And the ribs were really tasty too!
