Best use of snacks

Hi everyone!
We are down to 11 days out and are wanting to get some kind of idea of everyone's opinion on the best use of snack credits. I have seen the snack sticky and the photos which are great!
We are just wondering how to get the biggest/best bang for our buck so to speak when spending a credit. Does anyone have a suggestion? Just wanting to put a mental list together and googling has led me to out of date blogs that suggest great things that are no longer an option!

If you use a snack credit on a bottle of water, get the smartwater instead of the regular, it's .75 more.

My favorite use of snack credits are the pineapple Dole Whip Floats at Aloha Isle in the MK, (like $4.50 after tax). I don't recall if you can use a snack credit for it, I think you can, but my 2nd choice would be the cupcakes at Starring Rolls in DHS. I cannot begin to describe those cupcakes. I had died and gone to cupcake heaven. I think they are also around $4 a piece. Try the Butterfinger. It's DIVINE.

definitley putting the cupcakes on my list! i see on the snack list that the big ice cream sandwich from AK is no longer an option-but have heard that Main Street bakery still offers one for a snack-is this true?

We have done DDP several times and we tried to use our snack credits for any item over $2.50. However, as we got closer to departure time, if we had a lot left over, we would use them for any snack. We did find that there were some items that were really good for snack credits. For example, we were able to use them on some of the breakfast things (parfait) that were close to $4 and also on a the large ice cream dishes in the parks (eg, there is a stand that sells Hagen Daz in AK, huge portion for one snack credit; Fountainview in Epcot and Seashore Sweets in Boardwalk). This year we are definitely going to try some of the cupcakes, along with my all time fave-the mammouth chocolate caramel cashew in Goofys.

The cinnamon rolls at MK bakery are to die for and one snack credit - we get 3 of them for breakfast and share with me, DH and 2 DD's.

The Dole Whip is my favorite use of a snack credit.

Bang for your buck is different people - since you already looked at the snack list, decide what sounds good to you - I would pick my snacks based on what I like and that I would enjoy eating, not necessarily having to get the most expensive thing. That being said, I wouldn't use my snack credits to buy bottled water or soda, or a poece of fruit, but that's just me.

Check out the new candy store in Germany at EPCOT - they have some wonderful desserts as well as yummy candy.

We also like the Mickey ice cream bars. We will also get a box of popcorn, not the best value, but we like it.

At the end of the trip ifwe have credits leftover we buy rice krispie treats to take home!!

We are going in August this year, so I assume alot of our snacks will be used for ice cream, frozen drinks and slushees!!

We have used snack credits there on numerous occassions.

For those interested - the Dole Whip soft serve (not the floats) is also available at Capt Cook's in the Polynesian for a snack credit or as your dessert with a Counter Service credit - they give you an empty dish and its self serve - fill it as full as you can yummy

I have used my CS credits there many times for Dole Whip float. Sometimes, more than once on the same day, LOL. It is included in the DDP.

Yes! I got one of the ice cream sandwiches from the Main Street Bakery last week! It was huge, on fresh baked cookies! Best use of a snack credit ever

I second the cupcake recommendations, the red velvet from Starring Rolls was very good also.

One of the best uses for a snack credit we found was the ham and cheese croissants from the bakery in the French pavilion in Epcot. It made a great lunch.

Dole whip is top of the list for the majority of my family too. I like the pineapple spears there when I want less sugar.

Sundaes from Auntie Gravities or Mrs. Potts are pretty good (as are milkshakes and fruit smoothies respectively). Hollywood scoops is better for sundaes (I think that's the place that has the huge ice cream sandwich cookies too).

Pastries at Main street, Starring Rolls, Boardwalk Bakery, France Boulangerie, Kringla in Norway , as well as Kusifari are all good.

Crepes in France.

I may get a Mickey Waffle in Sleepy Hollow when I'm there next.

Any of the Caramels in Germany at almost $4 a pop are pretty good.

The fruit popsicles in the Cantina in Mexico are a good low fat option when it's hot. So are the frozen lemonades sold all over.

The strawberry shortcake in Sunshine Seasons was good last time we were there.

I'm hungry.

Glad we'll have the two snack QSDP this trip. It looks like they are dropping a snack from the QSDP next year.

ham and cheese croissant sounds so good! so do the caramels. Ok great, now that you have all given such good suggestions, i might run out of snacks in the first two days!
