Best use of MyPoints?

trying to figure out the best value on cashing them in for gift cards......

for me, the best cash out is a safeway gift card to help take some of the sting out of buying groceries when we go to Maui.

I pull up the point cost for the cards that I would use - and usually order whichever one I will use with the least amount of points. We usually get a $50 for Landry's (Rainforest, T-Rex, or any of their other restaurants). It's still one cheapest options as far as points go.

Same here. I just did this the other day. I found the gift cards I'd use and found the best points deal. For me it was Olive Garden (and I think you can use it for Red Lobster too) gc.

I'm another one for the Landry's gift card! it gives us a lot of options and we can use it at home or on vacation. I had started by getting Walgreen's gift cards and using them to buy a Disney gift card, but it's less points for the Landry's card.

It's not the best use of points in terms of value per point, but I use them for WalMart cards. We stop at WalMart to grocery shop for the week before checking in, and that covers a lot of the cost for us. The restaurant ones are probably a better value, but WalMart is something we need.

I did a quick look at what's available to redeem for today. These would be my choices and what they cost:

I'm leaning toward either the Target GCs (to pay for prescriptions for my dog since you don't get a discount with the Target Red Card) or the Amazon GCs (because I spend a lot on there anyway) or the CVS GCs. I already have enough Landry's cards for now and the cash redemptions are a little too high.

I usually get the Landry's card (can also be used at Yak & Yeti in AK) or a Gap/Old Navy card. They are the best deal per point and we actually use them - I shop off season at Gap/ON and get DD cute stuff for when we go on vacation.

We shop Amazon all the time but get a better point per dollar deal (for their $5 cards) from Swagbucks.

I don't count on the surveys, I just click on the emails and do searches through their toolbar. Whenever I buy anything online I check with MP to see if they do points, if not I check Swagbucks or Ebates. They add up!

I get the Rainforest gift cards for Disney trips but we are going on a cruise in march and driving so I got a Cracker Barrel G/C! My family loves eating at CB on road trips!

I believe they are not allowed at the CS, just the TS. Not 100% sure since we used it at the TS but I remember reading something to that effect.
