Best use of Memory Maker

We got it for an upcoming 7 day in the parks trip. Really just as an attempt to leave the DSLR at home.

For those saying character meals do not have photopass, I'm still new to all of this but at tusker house we did get some good photopass pics taken with all of the characters. Is it restaurant specific?
At Tusker House they took a picture of my son outside, without a character. Cute pic. But just him in front of a wall.lol

It's well worth it. From the ride pics and videos and tons of pics around the parks and hotel restaurants. We got so many and had a great time with props or adding in Olaf and stitch. Hope they add in bb8 this year.

If ur spending 3-5k on a trip what's another 150 bucks for the memories. So worth it

It's been a couple trips since I did Tusker, but I do read a lot of the Photopass/character dining threads, and I'm not aware of any meal that has the photographers in the meal when the characters come to your table. A few have a posed photo taken by a Photopass person prior to your seating. Not sure if this is current, but at one time it was Donald outside Tusker House, Cinderella before your Castle meal, Belle at Akershus, a posed shot with a backdrop (no character) at Chef Mickey and O'hana.
Ohana had a photographer to take pics with Stitch, but not the other characters there. However, my son had a stitch stuffed animal with him at the restaurant (he went everywhere with us, including needing his own 3d glasses on rides lol) and my favorite photo pass pic is after Lilo took my son's Stitch from him and hugged him...she gave him back to my son-he was so excited that she did that, and the smile on his face when he hugged stitch was caught on camera by the photog- priceless.

Are they adding bb8? That would be awesome!!!!!!!

I hope so. My girls love him. And Rey of course. When we did Olaf and tink they loved acting and pretending he was there.

Of course I'm excited for kylo ren. Haven't been more excited for a pic since wreck it Ralph. Lol. I know weird

I have it for the first time this May. A lot of the "worth it" list posted above does not apply to us and I went back and forth on purchasing it. We are a group of five - aged 20-45. Here are my reasons for it being worth it for us.

5. I will be in the pictures. All of our early trip pics make it look like hubby took the kids without me!

Amen, sister. You'd think DH was a single parent to my kids if you look through our family photos! Yay for mom getting in the shots!!!

P.S. I got MM as an AP - I didn't know that was a "perk". Imagine my surprise when the 7DMT video popped up on my MDE!!! That was awesome. I'm going with my family in June and they don't know about this video. I can't wait to show them after we go on it!

Kylo Ren is my son's favorite. Is he going to be in magic shots? We purchased his light saber after riding Star Tours back in September. At that time I hadn't heard of him yet, when the girl asked me if we wanted to upgrade to the 'deluxe' I said- "What is this? I haven't seen a light saber that looked like this. She informed us that it was from the new movie. Of course after hearing that my son HAD to have it lol..later on at the resort we googled it, and sure enough Kylo Ren. It was love at first trailer sight for my son.

We had a lot of fun with the Olaf pics too! And stitch of course!

Has anyone used the PhotoPass photographers at the deluxe resorts to take some non-park family photos? I've heard conflicting info on this. We are staying at the Poly and would love some photos on the beach or the lush grounds around the resort.

I stayed at the Poly this past September. Only photo pass was at Ohana

I didn't use any fast pass selections on characters last trip because we had so many character meals. But since SW does not have a meal as of yet, I'm afraid that's what all of our HS selections are going to be used on :(

We just returned from our first trip and I wasn't sure what to expect. I've never been. It was only my husband, myself and our 5yr old son. We actually didn't do a lot of photo pass pictures because I did not pre-purchase them. We spent 1 day in Hollywood Studios and the next day in Magic Kingdom. After we returned from the first night and I logged into my account, i saw the photos that were taken and my son had his arm band scanned by the photographer and those pictures were available for $15 a piece. Also, if I continued through, I was able to select the entire day's photo's for $59. So the next day at MK we had more pictures taken, but still not a ton, and after we returned home I looked at them and figured if there were 4-5 that I liked well enough from each day then I would go ahead and pay the $59 daily fee. And that's what I did. I wish I would've known this was an option before we went, as then I'd have had more photos taken. Oh well, I know for the next time. If you're only going for a day or two, you may just want to buy the 'daily' after the fact. I cannot guarantee that it will always be available, but I'd think they want to make the $ either way.....
