I am trying to decide 2 table service meals: one for Magic Kingdom and one for a Magic Kingdom resort (both for lunch). Just wanted to get some opinions on peoples favorites......p.s. I have 2 boys (7 and 3) plus my husband and mysef

We've always loved Liberty Tree Tavern. Delish!

I would recommend Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Although we have never eaten there for lunch we always enjoy our dinners.

Crystal Palace serves lunch and the Winnie the Pooh characters are there. We had dinner there on our last trip and booked it again, and the food on the buffet was excellent. Very nice atmosphere too. Also conveniently located at the end of Main Street. I'm sure the lunch there is also very good.

We ate at Liberty Tree for the first time this past week and really enjoyed it. The beef and turkey were very flavourful and the mashed potatoes were great (didn't appear to be from a box). The rolls were a little too tasty since we ate too many of them before our dinner arrived! My husband isn't a fan of buffets so the family style service worked well.

i would do crystal palace for dinner and chef mickeys for breakfast both have good food and characters, i also do like liberty tree but they dont have characters anymore

In MK: Crystal Palace
Around MK: 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian), Ohana and Kona Cafe (Polynesian), Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge), Chef Mickey's (Contemporary)

MK Monorail resort lunch, I would recommend in the following order of preference: Kona Cafe or GF Cafe.

We like The Plaza and the Crystal Palace in MK for table service lunches. Not impressed with Liberty Tree Tavern...was OK as a character meal, but food not worth the cost/meal plan credit if no characters, IMHO.

For MK resort lunches, we'd like Kona, as well as the Wave and the Grand Floridian Cafe...have had breakfast and/or dinner at all three. Good food at those meals, so assume lunches will be good too.

Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare do not usually serve lunch, except for extremely busy/rare occasions when Disney is packed to the gills. But most of the year those two are breakfast & dinner only.

There are no good TS restaurants in the MK.
Kona or the Wave might be good for lunch---

Definetely agree with the op about Kona Cafe and The Plaza.

You may also want to check out the Grand Floridian Cafe-a nice quiet break from the parks.

As far in the Magic Kingdom, we loved Crystal Palace.

There are so many we love in the MK resorts! Kona Cafe and Ohana at the Poly are both delicious and Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge is tons of fun!

With boys your son's ages you might want to try Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge for lunch. It is a short boat ride. The food is great for kids and the fun atmosphere will help keep them entertained.

Inside MK, I would personally stick to CS for lunch unless you are thinking about a Character meal. In that case CP is good option.

The OP referenced TS for lunch...I think you missed that part. I would also comment that if you consider WCC you might consider a time when they open to increase your chances of having a good experience.

Woops, sorry! Yeah, those would only work if you wanted to do a late breakfast or early dinner!

For lunch:

Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK.

Grand Floridian Cafe outside of the MK.

Inside the park I would suggest Crystal Palace. I am really not a fan of any other MK TS restaurants.

The Wave is my second favorite TS on property after Boma so that would be my first pick followed by Kona. At Kona I prefer lunch to dinner.
