In your opinion, what is the best TS dining in Epcot, given the following info? We have two daughters, age 5 and 2 who are not picky eaters. I'm thinking of something w/good food and also a fun ambiance (w/o being too formal). It's been 13 years since I ate in Epcot, so my memory is not helping me out too much with this!
Thanks!

While there aren't any characters at Le Cellier, I would still think your girls would enjoy it. I plan to take my nieces 4 and 18 month in December and took my 4 year old nephew and he was very well behaved and occupied. The ambiance is nice like a cellar with stone walls and candlelights along the walls and the food is good. It is my favorite restaurant at Epcot. If you are looking for a character meal, I think Norway has the Princesses and considering the ages of your girls they may love it. Good Luck!

atmosphere is Biergarten, and the food is good too. There is a German band that plays periodically throughout the day and a little dance floor that usually has some kids dancing around on it.

How about Garden Grill? It's a revolving dining room with characters.

We did the Princess Breakfast at Akershaus in Norway and it was pretty good. Just your standard breakfast fare but the girls would get to meet Belle and 4 other princesses.
We also ate at the Garden Grill in the Land. It is a neat rotating restaurant over the Living with the Land ride. Pluto, Chip, Dale, and Farmer Mickey Mouse were the characters and they were great. The food was family style and it was just okay.
Now for really good food we ate at Tutto's Itallia. It is probably a more grown up restaurant but the food was really good.

Teppan Edo..We are eating their for the 1st time in July with two kids..I was told that they will have a blast with the chef cooking in front of them..:thumbsup2

I second the Biergarten. I took my sister(11 at the time) there in August and she LOVED it. It's one of the very few places she asked to go back to ( I think CM was the only other one) She loved the food, and like a PP said there is a band and dance floor usually full of kids

When my two children now 15 and 20 were your kids ages I took them to Coral Reef restarurant.Even when my kid were cranky, tired, and not the most pleasant to be around, once we entered the dining area it was all about the fishys in the aquarium. They had a lovely dining experience,we had too happy, quiet, entertained disney kids.Good times, good memories.I think the fish magicly hypnotize my children to submission back then.:rotfl:

I would say Coral Reef.

It is very nice with the aquarium and all. Ask for a seat close to the tanks. It was such a cool and relaxing place to eat, and the kids loved it. Good food too.

Let us know what you decide.

I agree with this suggestion. We sat away from the tanks and a great view of the full tank. Also you don't KNOW how the little ones will react being so close. Hate to grab the close view to have them scream, scamper and have a meltdown there. My 5yo nephew just loved the place, the view, the kids activity sheet and it is the only place where he ate his entire meal: apple slices, pizza and ice cream!

Since they are girls you may also want to consider the PSB meal in Norway. Character meal that includes a photo pacakge in the meal price.

Garden Grill is a character meal, but the in the last year there were a number of reports that place was not rotating, so don't let that feature be a primary decision maker, there is a chance you'll be disappointed.

If you are going by Sept 5th, consider Chef de France for lunch. Remy from Ratatouille is appering there. He's a little guy about the size shown in the movie. Comes to the table as a chef on a cart to the table.

LeCellier is the last place that would come to mind as a place a 2 and 5yo would prefer at Epcot. No entertainment per se and place described as small and dark. Too many other more fun places at that park.

If the girls are dancers they might like the belly dancer at Marrakesh. You'd need to decide if the menu works for you.

I think it will be pretty easy to find a meal you'll enjoy and a place they'll have fun, Epcot has so much to offer.

we took DD last year who was 4 to the princess dinner at noraway. We are picky eaters so did not care for the food too much, but the experience seeing my daughters face when she met the princess's was well worth it. :cloud9:The dessert there is good :rotfl:.

We also did coral reef, the night we went we had like 7pm ADR's but did not get in till almost 8:30. I know it's not always like this but my daughter was so cross b/c she was hungry and it was crowded waiting. However once inside we got seats right next to the glass so she would "play" with the fish while waiting on our food. The also made her drink with a blue light up ice cube and dolphin that we got to keep. The food there was good.

Those are the only 2 places we ate in Epcot when we went so not much help on the others. I am considering the celler when we go this year, but I heard and have read it is waaaay over rated and not as good as some make it out to be. So I don't know, since it is to each it's own :confused3.

We went there for the first time with our kids - two boys 11 & 6. The atmosphere is great and they loved the show (when you're calling for reservations you can inquire about the times of the show and plan accordingly so you don't miss it). The food was excellent and it's a very family friendly atmosphere. Good luck deciding!! :goodvibes
