Best travel site for comparing prices and booking?

I'm checking around on Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. Mostly for flights. I want a decent price, but also good customer service. I know flights change all the time, but would like a good chance that it won't. Last time, ATA ended up splitting our family up on the plane. So what is your favorite site???

Also...can you book off these sites and still get zero interest on the Disney Visa??

I look at those sites but most times by then checking the airline site you can get the same price. I prefer to cut out the middleman and buy direct from the airline.

For plane tickets, you can save $5 each by booking directly from the airline's site that booking through one of the travel sites. Also, on the legacy carriers you can choose your seats when you book.
