Best Transportation fr Wilderness Lodge to Cape May Cafe

What's your advice on the best transportation route from Wilderness Lodge to Cape May Cafe for breakfast? We plan on spending the rest of the day in Epcot. Thanks in advance for any responses!

There are very, very few times that I recommend taking a cab at WDW.

But, this is one of those times.


Another method is to take the Disney bus from Ft.W to DHS (they start running about 6:30 AM) and then walk the 25-30 minutes trip from DHS to the Beach Club (see map below,) but that would not be something I'd want to do at that early hour.

You did not say at WHAT TIME you have your breakfast ressies.

If it is late enough, the boats between DHS and Beach Club will be running (about a 20 minute trip.)


After your breakfast, you can just stroll over to Epcot's International Gateway from Beach Club and walk up to the Future World attractions from there.

(Most questions on these boards are about taking the WDW Transportation system, so I go there first.)


Just follow the road signs to Boardwalk.
Park in the Boardwalk lot and enjoy breakfast.

After breakfast, drive to the Epcot parking lot, park (free to resort guests) and enter via the front gates.

Although a cab would, in fact, be quicker (and perhaps easier) the way I would suggest is:

1. Take the bus to EPCOT
2. Walk through EPCOT to the international gateway and then to the Beach Club

It's considerably less of a walk then from DHS, but then you might not want to walk at all. I suppose you could also take the boats from the International Gateway, but that would be a bit pointless since the Beach Club is only a couple hundred yards down from the entrance.

We are considering cape may cafe for dinner (around 630-7pm one night during our week long stay. If I bus from the wilderness lodge to epcot and then walk to the cafe, its just a few hundred yards? Also - is it worth all that? My wife and daughter love seafood and it seems to be the only worthy place on the dining plan.

It is not a short walk. You would have to walk to the EPCOT entrance and go through the park to the International Gateway which is a decent hike. You could then take a boat or walk to the resort.

You could go to MK and then take the resort bus or take a cab. That would be the least path of resistence.

So, go to magic kingdom and take a bus from the kingdom to the beach resort?

The girls really want crab but I think this place may be too much of a pain to get to. Too many one bus options to take several busses over long period of time.

Cant find anywhere else to get them crab and shrimp though.

take the bus from wl to hollywoods studios and go directly to the boat. the boat will take you to the beach club dock. cape may is a great restaurant. enjoy.

if you finish dinner in time, go back the same way you went. ck hs closing time.

there is a sea food restaurant in epcot also. it is close to the front of the park.

Did you checkout Fultons Crab House at DTD, you can see their menu on All Ears. I don't think Cape May Cafe is anything to write home about any more, it used to be pretty good years ago, but IMHO it is no longer worth the price of close to $40/pp.

Two other possibilities for seafood are the Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot and the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, neither have crab though.
