What is the best/cheapest way to get to LAX from Grand Californian leaving before 6am? (That seems to be when the shuttles start up.)

We have 6 people (including one baby.) I thought we were going to buy the family pass from the Disneyland Express-- $99 roundtrip. Now it looks like we have to do one way--for the same cost! on the way there--AND have to get a private van/limo for around $150 or so to get to the airport in time to catch our 8:42am flight. :headache: Almost sounds cheaper but a big bother to rent a car for 5 days. I think we get free parking with DVC.

:confused3 Am I missing a better option? :worship:

Hi dr&momto2boys, you can also look into Super Shuttle, I they run 24hr a day! From LAX, it is $16 per person one way, children under age 3 are free, but it looks like you will have to pay for the return trip too, no round trip discounts. It’s another option, hope it helps.

We typically arrive before 6 a.m. because we end up taking a red-eye flight from Honolulu. We used the Super Shuttle a year or so ago because they would pick up early. We just had to call when we arrived and wait just a few minutes for the shuttle. We made sure have reservations so they knew we were coming and we were coming early. It was really nice not to have to worry about driving so early in the morning when everyone is tired, especially the adults. We went through Getawaytoday and got a pretty decent rate on round trip fare. At the time we had 3 kids and 2 adults, with one being about 18 months. Unfortunately, I can't remember what we paid, but it was cheaper than the Disney Express at the time. We also went with the shared van, but because it was so early, we ended up having just our family. Anyway, look into the Super Shuttle. We had a positive experience with them the one time we used them.

Oh, we did have to have carseats though. Not sure if you'll be bringing yours or not, but something to think about if you are using non-touring bus kind of transportation. We had ours because we went to visit family afterwards and rented a car for the that portion of the trip.

Good luck!

You guys are great! Thanks! :goodvibes We will have carseats since we'll be going to Maui and Oahu and renting cars on the next legs of the trip--so not a problem.

$116 roundtrip for the 6 of us on Karmel using the coupon link! Yay! Thanks again!
p.s. Found some other good coupons for DTD also! :goodvibes

We use American Limo Service $99 for 7 of us, super stretch. Have used them for years. Just used them on Friday. Very prompt, professional, and clean cars. Nice to have free beverages during the ride. They are located in Orange Co. Nice to not have to share a shuttle with others.

They picked us up at 4:30am for our 7:00am flight on Friday. Very dependable.

I did Super Shuttle too! I found a coupon and it was really reasonable! I also liked that you can tip on there too--less fumbling with luggage and cash, etc. Have a safe trip!! See you at GCV next week!

Just an fyi.....we add tip on our bill in advance with the limo co. as well, $19. :thumbsup2
