CR or YC or BWI ????

we have afew signature dinings planned if that matters. we like epcot and Mk equally....

bus and boat sharing??? are they crowded from YC/BWI??

4 adults but looking to infuse some disney feel into the LAST wdw trip we may ever take. Never have stayed at any of these choices.

stayed at PORFQ, WL , and POLY before.

having major anguish trying to decide our resort.....WL,YC,BWI or CR garden wing

You can walk to the MK from the CR, and getting to Epcot using the monorail (with a change of trains at the TTC). For other parks you will be using buses frequently shared with one or more of the other MK resorts. There also is boat service between the CR and WL/FW.

Both BWI and YC offer very short walks to Epcot and longer walks to DHS, along with the boat service that runs on a loop between Epcot and DHS. The boats generally aren't very crowded, but they aren't what one would call speedy. Unless you walk right on to a boat with no waiting, walking generally is going to be at least as fast--and maybe faster--than taking the boats. All other parks are reached using buses frequently shared with one or more of the other Epcot-area resorts.

We like the Epcot-area resorts for access to both Epcot and DHS. It's especially nice to be able to do another park during the day and then come to Epcot for dinner, as you have a very short walk back afterwards. If you are more interested in the MK, however, the CR may be more to your liking.

The worst bus service we have encountered was a stay at BWV. We shared (in June) with swalphin, and BC/YC. Buses were always packed.

Of those choices, I feel CR has the best transpo by far. But also make sure the theming is OK with you. It's not my cup of tea, but I loved the transpo when we stayed at the beautiful BLT. Have fun!

It really depends of what theme you like best and which Signature dining locations you are going to. I love the BW and YC because of the proximity to Epcot and DHS. Both are very easy to get to, either using the boats or walking. It has easy access to any of the Sigs at BW and YC. In terms of the other parks, buses can be shared between BW, YC, BC, and/or S/D. Sometimes all five, sometimes only three, other times with only two (YC is always paired with BC, BW is usually paired with S/D). Taxis are pretty plentiful as an alternative means of getting anywhere.

I love the look of the WL.

Watching the monorail go through CR is a lot of fun, but you've listed the garden wing, so I don't know if it still has the same vibe. Access from the CR to MK is easy (walk or monorail). Getting to Epcot is also pretty easy. If your Sig meals are at GF, then they will be easy to get to.

Overall, I would go with either CR or YC/BW.

For adults only, I would go with YC or BW, depending on how important the pool is to your party. Yes, there is sometimes a wait for the busses and they are shared with a few resorts, but that entire Epcot area just has the best atmosphere and being able to walk to both Epcot and DHS cannot be beat, IMHO.

thye are leaning towards WL courtyard w/ deluxe dining amd park hoppers. we would gain an extra day pricing it out and an extra day of deluxe dining.

we do think that WL has decent transpo to CR and MK giving us many more transpo options. pretty much same as CR except for boat ride to CR to gain all the transpo options.

always done woods at WL and now we will go courtyard. We are comfortable with rooms sizes since we just sleep and shower/change.

we have a 1 night PORFQ for first night only. if we get all 7 nights at WL instead of split stay between POR FQ and YC comes out about same costs figuring OOP for first night food and am breakfast. DW likes the idea of not packing up after 1 night and moving time saved is like money earned...

I think that is a good choice. We didn't have any transportation problems at WL (honestly, though, in all our trips I have never had a real problem with Disney transportation) and an extra night would def be worth it!

From a transportation standpoint for dining at other resorts, any of the three is good, because you have easy access to a transportation hub at a park to get to any resort. From CR, you can go to the MK bus depot and go to any resort from there. From BWI or YC, go to the DHS bus depot, and go to any resort from there.

As far as theme park transportation from the resorts, I think the Epcot resorts have the best because you can walk to two of the four parks. I've never had an issue with the buses going to AK or MK from there either.

i didnt think about DHS resort buses.......that puts a different spin on the whole thing. kept thinking we'd have to go through Epcot to get to mono or buses...

During our stays at the WL, we have never had any trouble with transportation (bus or boat). We love being able to take the boat to MK as well as to the CR for dining, shopping, or just to visit; plus it's very convenient to hop on the monorail to visit/shop/dine at the Poly and GF as well ;). We haven't stayed at the YC, but on our BC stay, getting to Epcot and DHS were fine as those are within walking distance or boat transportation, but getting anywhere else was horrible as the BC buses were shared with YC, BWI, Swan, & Dolphin. With that said, I think all resorts have their good and bad in regards to transportation, so I would go with the one that the theme/decor appeals to you the most and take the transportation a day at a time if it seems to be slow, crowded, etc. and don't let the that get in the way of a good trip. We are go with the flow kind of people (especially on vacation) and although it does get frustrating sometimes dealing with a crowded bus or long waits, we are on vacation and not in a rush, so we just deal with it as it comes and still have a great trip :goodvibes.

If you stay at WL (which is a terrific choice by the way) and you want to get to other resorts, just take the boat over to the MK and hop on the appropriate resort bus there. It will be about the same time frame as staying at an Epcot resort and walking or boating to DHS to get a specific resort bus.

Strange, when we stayed at BC last summer I only remember sharing with YC, and BWI shared with Swan/Dolphin.

We love WL, although I don't know I'd want to share with 4 adults!
The boat to CR was handy for adr there. For poly or gf ADR we used the MK boat and transferred to Poly/GF resort boat.

How sad to think this is your last WDW vacay.

Either BWI or YC eliminates buses to 2 parks. So about 1/2 your stay has no buses at all. We have never not fit on a boat and they come by quite regular-but we often walk anyway to EPCOT and DHS.

If your like many, you also rarley go to AK. So you are down to a MK bus only. And even then, sometimes we are EPCOT and take the monorail to MK or return to EPCOT afte a MK morning etc.

We usually visit peak season, so the BW bus has gone straight to MK-then its first stop on return is S/D and we just get off there and walk over the bridge to the BW.

All said-we would pick YC of your choices for SAB and location, 2nd choice would be BWI.

I think crowd size determines if BWI, YC/BC, and S&D share a bus. If the crowds are low then one bus will go to all. I am sure during Christmas you might even see one bus for every resort.

There's only one stop for Wilderness Lodge buses, correct? I imagine that would be convenient. We're doing BWI because Epcot is my favorite theme park and we have a lot of dining reservations there. I would love to try out one of the MK resorts at some point, maybe the next trip!

4 adults are dad and mom and 2 college girls. Have to wait and see about price increases.hopefully we dont get priced back to a mod. Its gonna b WL but if discount comes out later we may upgrade to YC.

I know rooms are small(been there before) but we only sleep, shower and dress in the room majority of the trip...

the question is how do you feel about studios.

cr has walking or monorail to MK plus monorail to Epcot.

the YC/BWI have walking or boating to MK and Studios.

so if you like both MK and EPcot then would go with CR/BLT or WL.

now if you like studios then go with an epcot resort.

we are MK and EPCOT fans mostly.....HS has never done alot for us. AK is a 1 dayer...........

We are big WL fans but not really stayed anywhere else except POLY and PORFQ and WL and were trying to get the most for our buck this time. We wanted a change but afraid we will miss our WL ..........

so mind boggling to make decision by wed......i am sure everyone is the same way. spend $9000 on a vacation at WDW and u want the most for your dollars with no disappointments.....

We love WDW for spring break (weather is usually perfect) and always stay at least 1/2 the week at BCV for SAB and the walk to EPCOT, esp with older kids now. WL is great as well-but YC would be our choice for sure.

our plan is.. book WL and watch for general public room only discount to upgrade to YC/BC/BWI(no std views).....maybe a pixie pin.......

we will be happy i think if the upgrade doesnt happen. We wanted some extra things during trip and bumping up to YC would have affected those plans. the difference in price about pays all our tips for the week.....with some leftover....

w plane tix and deluxe everything im already at $9000 so the brakes have been applied...
