I have not had very good luck with trying to make shirts. :confused3

I follow the instructions, but my designs look very pale, not vibrant at all, and some don't stick very well.

With all of the money that I have wasted, I could have just bought shirts! LOL...

Do you have a favorite brand of transfers or any tips that you can give me?
I really want to make tons of shirts for our next trip!
Thanks!

Have fun. P:yay:

Hmmmm.....

Well I did google her & I found her website but she posted that she NO LONGER does any DISNEY designs.....

Anywhere else we should look??

Thanks!

Amy doesn't do Disney designs but she does lovely non-Disney designs. She also sells her transfers through her site which is what I thought you were looking for. If you want a non-Disney design you can request it in her thread on this board or through her website. She does lovely dining punch cards to keep track of your meals which can be used at Disney but they aren't disney themed. The red and white polka dots border and blue and white stars border do give a hint of a Disney feel. Was there something else you were looking for? Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your response! I was actually looking for Disney-themed iron-ons. I guess I can create my favorites and then use Amy's iron-on paper to do the transfers!

I've heard her transfers are great. I'm planning to order some on Wednesday. Have you checked the meet the DISigners thread near the top of the board? It lists all of the designers and their specialty. I am assuming you are new here so the following info may help. If you already know all of this please disregard. The designers all have different styles and if you check out each designers thread, photobucket, and 4shared account you will get hundreds of ideas. If your trip is very soon be aware some designers are faster than others (rustmanfan -Marion is usually super speedy). If you have time though really get a feel for the designs and make sure you request early. Also it's best to read post one of the designers thread before posting as it will let you know what info the designer needs. Lots of luck and have fun looking around!

Amy Mickey ROCKS!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
I have been using her transfers since 06 and keep shopping with her. They are shipped very promptly and the instructions are VERY clear!!
Her designs are as good as her transfer paper. She is the best kept DIS secret around!! KUDOS Amy!!:yay::yay::yay:

Thanks everyone for your kind words and Penny for helping spread the word.

nicoledcain - you can either see post #5 or you can pm me with your email address and I would be glad to send you the link to my website.

Alright - I have what might sound like a stupid question. I was hoping to make my first shirts. However, all the transfers seem to indicate use with an ink jet printer.

Are there no transfers compatible with a color laser printer? Do they get too hot?

Thanks!

DO NOT use ink jet transfers in your laser printer. It can really mess up the printer, and it doesn't work. They do make transfers for laser printers, but they need to be put on with a professional heat press (and noone with a heat press will do this because the designs are Disney). I went round and round with this when I made the shirts for our first trip in 2010. I ended up buying AmyMickey's transfers and borrowing my mother's ink jet printer. The shirts turned out beautifully and my boys wore them for over a year before the transfers started to crack and fade. I will be buying Amy's transfers again for our next trip! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. That puts a crimp in my plans as I am not sure I have access to an inkjet - many lasers, but no ink jets that I know of.

Thanks for the info. Glad i did not try to stick an ink jet transfer into a laser!!! :scared1:
